If you’ve ever wanted to spend hours meticulously preparing for a hunt, only to get absolutely wrecked by a giant lizard with wings, then Monster Hunter: World is the game for you! It’s like Pokémon, except instead of catching them, you get punted across the map by a T-Rex on steroids while trying to sharpen your sword for the 10th time.

The beauty of this game is that no matter how well-prepared you think you are, the monster you’re hunting has already read your strategy guide. One moment you’re smugly landing that perfect combo, and the next, you’re being body-slammed by a giant dragon who decided it’s time for you to experience the fast travel system... involuntarily.

Monster Hunter: World teaches valuable life lessons—like never celebrate too early, always pack more potions than you think you’ll need, and never, EVER trust a Rathalos to let you finish your BBQ spit. But hey, it’s not all bad. You get to chase after the coolest armor sets and weapons that you’ll spend 80 hours crafting, only to immediately need something better for the next beast that’s coming to ruin your day.

10/10, would throw myself into a volcano to carve some dragon parts again.

If you've ever wondered what it’s like to kick down a door only to get flashbanged by your own teammate, then Ready or Not is the SWAT experience you’ve been waiting for! In this game, tactical precision meets absolute chaos, and by “chaos,” I mean accidentally yelling “Hands up!” at a chair while your buddy gets lit up in the next room.

The best part? Every mission feels like a real-life training video for "What Not to Do in a Hostage Situation." You go in with a plan, but three seconds later, it's all about trying to figure out if that’s an enemy, a civilian, or just a weirdly-placed coat rack. Either way, someone’s getting handcuffed.

Ready or Not teaches you the true meaning of teamwork—mainly how to survive while your friends make every situation exponentially worse. Forget realistic tactics; half the time, your biggest enemy is friendly fire, followed closely by flashbangs... again, from your own team.

10/10, would raid an empty room while getting yelled at by my team for using too many zip ties.

Ever wonder what it'd be like to repeatedly get smacked by goblins and skeletons while trying to rob a haunted dungeon? Wonder no more! Dark and Darker is basically a Renaissance fair, except the actors are actually trying to murder you—and trust me, they’re good at it. If you enjoy the thrill of finding epic gear only to immediately lose it in the most painful way possible, you’re going to LOVE this game.

I walked in with high hopes, left with a head full of arrows and a heart full of regrets. But hey, 10/10 would absolutely watch my friend accidentally aggro a skeleton and run screaming into the next room again. It’s a game that teaches valuable life lessons, like never trust a corner, always blame the wizard when things go south, and accept that sometimes, you’re the loot that’s about to be lost.

If you’ve heard horror stories about loading screens and broken mechanics in other games, fear not. The only thing that’s broken here is your sense of safety when you hear a door creak behind you. But that’s the charm, right? It’s challenging, unforgiving, and somehow still fun—kind of like a chaotic medieval therapy session.

The real magic of Dark and Darker is how it keeps you coming back, no matter how many times the dungeon slaps you around. So if you’re ready to die... a lot, and still somehow have fun, this one’s for you.

Pretty ♥♥♥♥, can't find a game if you are playing with 1 friend, should you find a game you have to hope everyone even loads in for one reason or another.

Great game, personally got about 200 hours of gameplay out of it before i started to find certain aspects were starting to feel more like a tedious wall.

Waste of money until Ubisoft decides they care and get an actual functional anti-cheat. Between half the game being cheaters, at the time of writing, and the outright neglect Ubi has for the player base there isn't much going for this once good game. I mean the anti-cheat stops legit players from playing half the time anyway because it "failed to update please check internet connection and firewall" when everything is fine, i even uninstalled and reinstalled the game, battleeye, drivers, restarted pc several times nothing works.

edit*
"ANTI-CHEAT UPDATE" did nothing

Solid F2P RPGMMO when it was still large in players. However, there aren't many online sources to answer questions that may arise from in game, due to the declining experienced player-base new players may find certain things confusing if this is the first RPGMMO they are playing and find a lack of tools to assist them in clearing up any confusion.

As always there are Pros & Cons to Rift.

Pros:

It's free, and while yes you can make in game purchases for both cosmetic and gameplay purposes they don't overtly disrupt the flow of the game. (in my experience)

The actual rift mechanic is pretty fascinating, with the invaders that set up footholds and what not it adds quite a bit.

Cons:

The rift and invader mechanic(s) leave alot to be desired, I remember watching my uncle play this in Beta thinking to myself, "Oh that's really cool! They must be able to take over cities and what not and the players would have to get a group together to take it back?!" No...

The story, however I find most RPGMMO stories to be this way, was rather boring/ hard to follow. Maybe its just not "in my face" enough to follow though.

I can't say whether or not I recommend this game as my overall experience would likely be different if I had friends. The game-play itself is great, as a top down shooter with lots of strategy, however if you don't have a group to play with you end up on the front line with experienced players who offer no assistance. You go to the back line to gather mats and refine them for your team? No because all factories, "Belong to 'Insert roleplay military battalion name here'" and if you try to use them they get pissed. I mean half the time I'd spawn in get told to leave by my team because, "You're in a private area" and if you didn't start moving fast enough or tried to grab at least a gun since its the front-line they'd just kill you.

EDIT: I gave Foxhole another shot during War 117, and although I still couldn’t convince friends to join, I noticed a Discord link in-game. My initial frustrations led me to join, and I discovered a new level of depth. The Wardens were on the ropes, with the Colonials inches away from victory. After joining a regiment focused on naval ops, my experience changed completely. Suddenly, I was holding the line with a crew of Warden brothers, enduring the sheer insanity of artillery shelling our positions while we tried to hold Stormcradle.

Some people think Foxhole requires too much commitment, but it doesn’t have to be a second job. You don’t have to grind—unless you want to, and hey, nobody’s stopping you. But if witnessing your newly-found battle buddies get vaporized by 300mm artillery in the name of victory doesn’t scream “fun night,” then I don’t know what does. 10/10, would watch my squad explode again.

Wardens came back and won the war BTW

Factorio: The game where you industrialize an entire planet, only to be greeted by the furious locals as you siphon away every last natural resource. It’s like SimCity but with more pollution and giant alien bugs actively trying to murder you for your environmental crimes.

Side effects of playing Factorio may include:

Losing all concept of time: You’ll sit down at 6 PM for a "quick" session, only to realize it’s somehow 7 PM... the next day.

Developing a compulsive need to optimize everything: Whether it’s your factory layout, your fridge, or the flow of traffic in your neighborhood, nothing will ever be efficient enough again.

Divorce: Because let’s face it, your spouse is going to want custody of the kids when they realize you love conveyor belts more than family dinners.

Your spouse taking your kids: Mostly because you used them as part of your blueprint for a more efficient production line.

10/10, would lose everything for the perfect factory again.
