A hidden gem with alot of depth and tons to do!

Played since D1, thousands of hours spanning both D1 and D2, completed every activity to the highest level, has amazing gunplay, beautiful gfx and vfx, story line fell off pretty hard, a pretty good community.

Unfortunately that's where it stops, i finally quit end of Witch queen and didn't buy lightfall, and im glad i didnt seeing all the issues and how bad its been, like the rest of the community i finally had enough of Bungie treating us like utter trash, a AAA game with more MTX than most gatcha mobile games which most people originally blamed Activision Blizzard for but after their split the MTX spiralled out of control.

They just announced in their recent "state of the game" they wont be making any more ritual armor since "too few players wear them" and its wasted resources, maybe thats because all of the amazing looking armor is on the MTX store...

Then you have the dissapearing content which you paid for, they claim that the engine cannot grow anymore so they remove content and charge a premium for "new" seasonal content half of which was reskinned old content and timegated to seem like there is more than what there actually is.

Then you have the removal of Dungeons from everyone which used to be inclusive content and are now charged for a Dungeon pass on top of the Season pass.

Some people try to use the "the game is free to play" line which any normal person will tell you is complete BS, its free to TRY or more like a Demo, the same as something like World of Warcraft is free to try to a certain level to see what you are going to get.

With each expansion things just got more expensive and were provided with less over time, constant work goes into the MTX to make those items look stunning and half of that effort seems to goto the rest.

In terms of PvP well i don't really play that much, personally i prefer PVE but i do feel the pain those guys have had for years now, broken game modes, no new maps, pretty much just left out to dry.

There is so much more i could say but i think others here will just add to what ive said, i do truly love Destiny and miss playing it but there just comes a point where enough is enough.

Would i recommend trying it? honestly in the past i would say yes, go for it, now though, i wouldn't want to put anyone through the bungie experience.
