i was playing arc raiders tonight. this guy shot me coming around a corner. i return fire, headshoting and downing him. i tell him: im gonna defib you. you're gonna shoot me again?
he doesnt say anything. i reload my shields. rez him, pointing gun at his head. he spams crouch as thank you and runs off.

god i'm cool.

HLA has just enough mechanics to not overwhelm you as a VR player. The visuals are simply stunning and you can pick up and examine most props in the game. The gun-play is polished and the bullets go where you aim. There is humor in the game and Alyx sometimes comments on things you do. This makes the game feel alive and gives it character. The game can get a bit claustrophobic and scary at times, however, if those aren't an issue go ahead and get this game because it simply is the best VR game made so far.

You need a decent GPU and CPU to get a consistent 90 fps in this game. I am playing this on a 2070 super and Ryzen 5 1600 using Samsung Odyssey+. The game is bottlenecked by my CPU and I get massive framerate drops. However, I am going to keep playing this game because it simply is a masterpiece. If you have a Ryzen CPU, make sure your RAM is set to a high speed like 3200 MHz.

Met a Troll who was having an existential crisis over lost love. Troll Toll/10 would question life and love again because of a Troll. Seriously, get this game.

This is a game you would want to savor every moment of and when you finish it, you'd wish it wasn't over.

Great aesthetics, good voice acting, exciting combat music, and room for strategic planning are the pros that were overshadowed by the frustration caused by too much randomness in combat and loot finding.
