Who can not recommend No Man's Sky after all of the work they have put into it since its launch? I originally picked this game up on PS4 when I could get it in the pawn shop for 5 bucks. I bought two copies before the first big update came out introducing multiplayer for myself and my step son.
Since then so much more content has been added to the game..... For free. Something that isn't as common is how much has been added to the game for free.
If you enjoy space exploration games I highly recommend checking this one out. The company and devs at Hello Games deserves an award for how well they redeemed this game since its launch.

Alright Im going to have some pros and cons.
First lets start with the negative... The game is Early Access and is in its alpha state. It is clearly noticable with the lack of sound affects, animation and graphics. Probably why it is also the price of a meal at McDonalds over here in Canada.
Another thing that Im not sure about is the battlepass. The game is so alpha that instead of making a battle pass I thought maybe putting more sounds into the game would be a better idea.

Alright now onto the positive.
The game reminds me of older mmorpgs but it is in a good way. There are good fundamentals laid out here but it will depend how much comes out and how long updates will take.
As I stated earlier I got this for the price of a Big Mac meal at McDonalds. The meal would have last me a sitting. So far I spent more time playing this than I would have eating the burger. And passing it later.

I want this game to succeed but I also want people to know what they are getting into before buying. Dont go in expecting game of the year on Early Access launch.
But heck.... Lets see how this goes.

I like shooting the zombies

I like to heal my friends. I like to toss bots at your feet.
If you are down I will pick you up....,.,,,.,.... Eventually.

Have to change my update due to Intel actually updating their drivers and this game seems to work and not lock at the first door now.

Okay.... It took me a few tries as I kept losing interest or was just too baked to understand what I was doing.
But after this weekend of giving it an honest chance I ended up buying some coins to try another character.
And I have to admit this time I had a lot more fun going through missions and matching up with people.
The combat is so much fun, as is the movement.
In all its just a fast paced fun hack and slash or shoot em up kind of game. Can get deeper with the upgrades on your weapons and the crafting. Im still trying to figure things out. But Im enjoying myself while doing it.

Doesn't run well on Intel GPU's.
You need to force it to run Vulkan.
Other than that I have very few frame dips and enjoyed the time I put in so far.

I remember playing Terrorist Hunt on Rainbow 6 Black Arrow on my original Xbox. This game gives arcade vibes of that.
Its Early Access and it shows when you play it.
Is it fun? - Yes
Is it buggy? - Yes
The online is peer to peer so you dont depend on their servers. I have had quite a few disconnects when trying to party up with randoms. Again its early access so I expect these problems for the first little bit.
The frames can have its hiccups, but the gameplay is so fun. The rush you get knowing every shot is getting you closer to that camo you want.
Its honestly just shut your brain off and blast some things kinda fun sometimes.
But... Its really buggy. So go into it expecting game drops or mission problems from all people not being on an elevator when it was used so everyone literally has to go back down and ride the elevator together.
Still..... Its stupid fun.

In it for the goop

I have been chasing the Hellgate London high for a long time. This game isn't there yet. But I am enjoying what I have seen so far.
The game is early access so it has its bugs and issues sometimes. But if the developer continues with content and fixes it could grow into something very beautiful. I hope servers continue to improve and the party count continues to go up.
If you are into watching Early Access games this could be a gem further down the road.

11.4 hours in and I have to say I am even loving it more than I was originally.
The only downside is how lopsided the servers seem to be. Thankfully your character follows you to whichever server you want to join and you can play with your friends. Ill add more after another chunk of hours.
