Hands down one of the wittiest, smartest CRPG's you can ever hope to play. The way it explores existentialism and how we find meaning in the meaningless is absolutely unparalleled in gaming. The games non-ideological criticisms of capitalism and the society it has created, were immensely refreshing and thoroughly relevant to today. A wonderfully touching, thought provoking story about how humans must find peace within themselves in order to come to terms with the dark, absurd world we find ourselves in. 10/10

Massively stripped back 'RPG' that has more in common with GTA, than any of the imagination or creativity that went into creating the Witcher 3. An incredible world to explore and gawk at, but one that is held back from greatness by dated AI, mediocre combat and poor driving. Currently the only thing keeping me going is navigating the awe-inspiring environments and listening to the stellar soundtrack. There has been the occasional nifty side quest, but the majority have been let down by the frankly piss poor writing, edgy one-liners and all. The cherry on the ♥♥♥♥ stained cake is easily Keanu Reeves' sloppy inclusion, his voice acting is so stilted and lifeless that everytime he's on screen I roll my eyes. His casting was clearly just a marketing gimmick and displays a disturbing trend in modern gaming to appeal to casual or 'normie' players who can't comprehend interesting mechanics, let alone have the concentration required to appreciate a well-crafted, thoughtful game. Easily one of the most disappointing games in recent memory and a truly dull experience for anyone looking for any semblance of a deep RPG. Ah well, least it's nice to look at? That is when the game performs well. I haven't encountered many bugs but the choppy framerate even at 1080p on my GTX 1660 super is pretty laughable, God help anyone playing this on consoles.

Well done CD Projekt Red, you've successfully become as lousy and out of touch as Bethesda are.

EDIT: Played it a little further and am enjoying just boppin' about the city and soaking in the visuals, the quests have gotten a little more engaging but the main story is still uninteresting and shallow. Will update as I go along.

Well hard this lad 11/10

Can't believe how wrong I was about this game. Initially disliked it after the first two playthroughs, but 4 years later I'm now revisiting it and have realized the true merits of this game. Only partway in, but already appreciate the tight gameplay far more than the other souls games. The only real complaint I have is the slightly unimaginative starting areas and the linear progression. Will return to revise this review but at this moment I'm happy to give it 7.45 Barry Custards out of 12.

It's alright, try and just appreciate it for what it is rather than pretentiously over-analyzing it. Dialogue is a bit too cringey for my liking and the world didn't have any logical consistency to it, so lost my interest very fast. I know it's a video game but I enjoy it when game worlds have some depth to them without being "lol look so random hahahahahaha memes".

Fantastic music mind you, delight to listen to, distracted me from how visually underwhelming the majority of the game is (some parts have their moments).

Play it if you use tumblr a lot and/or identify as several different genders, as you'll probably enjoy the hamfisted happy-go-luckly messages this game shoves down your throat. Got a bit aggressive there but in all honesty, the fans of this game kill it with how much they overthink it. It's actually kinda scary to see how much they get out of these, for the most part, barely fleshed out characters (it's funny because they all spunk over the skeletons and they have no skin hahahaha memes).

Apply swift release from life.

It's like watching your son that you love go off into the big wild world, to see what's out there, learn, understand, develop and come back as a better man. But instead he decides he'd rather start injecting heroin into his eyelids. They ♥♥♥♥♥♥ this one up, they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up bad.

The best game ever. Scientific fact.

This is horrificly unoptimized, my PC far exceeds the reccommended specifications, but regardless of this the game runs like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥.

R.I.P It was at least a fantastic simulator of what I feel existing as a slug-like creature would be like...
