I downloaded this thinking I’d play for a few hours... now I’m 100 hours in and my entire backlog is staring at me in pure disgust.

It’s a worthy successor to Hollow Knight, and easily ranks among the best metroidvanias I ever played. The world design, atmosphere, and mechanics are top-notch, and anyone who’s played Hollow Knight will feel right at home.

It’s not perfect though. Some of the runbacks are overtuned (looking at you Bilewater), and the rosary economy can mess with pacing in spots.

One important note: do yourself a favor and play Hollow Knight first. This game is brutal and expects you to know and mastered all the mechanics from the first game.

Buying this early to show support for devs and their journey to full release.

Highly recommended, I was skeptical when I've seen the graphic but the gameplay, the dopamine when hitting to jackpot chests & satisfaction seeing your item build works make one of the best game I have played in recent years.

Not good.

Most of this DLC content felt like they just put random and repetitive quests just to make the "gameplay" longer. I managed to speedrun all quest using only shadow mutation since i was too lazy to navigate through the same quest on 3rd map (Trust me the missions will get old). Not to mention the grind for resource to upgrade stuff you get from this DLC are dreadful.

The last boss was fun for me but that's about it..

Amazing developers. Amazing game

Its free and doesn't force you to pay to play the game as a whole. The community are also friendly. Not suitable for people who dislikes grinding a lot.
