While small in scope, the unique mix of fantasy and odd occurences, this game has really evoked the same feelings I had with the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R.! The inventory and character management feels engaging, secrets and puzzles are fun, and the emergent and environmental narratives are very good.

I am hoping for a more persistent A-Life (it is slowly being upgraded from what I can see) and more end-game once it reaches that stage, but for now, what exists is a whole lot of fun! Also lizzer

Fantastic Campaign:
- Short, but lacks fillers. Every level is something new and exciting.
- Story a little generic - good guys vs bad guys - but is decidedly very good, especially for a Shooter.
- Introduces more mechanics and Kits to play around with as time goes on. Makes good use of mechanics.
- Fantastic character building. Interaction with sidekick is masterfully done and non-invasive, while feeling very good.

Engaging Multiplayer:
- Interesting Modes. The "normal" TDM has a flow between multiple distinct phases, and brings mechanics to the table which change things up.
- Unlocks are fast and feel rewarding, perma-unlock currency (for unlocking things ahead of time) is steadily gained. Don't feel like the game is trying to rip me off (which is a big plus.)
- Movement makes it very fast-paced, TTK is very low.
- Passive and Active abilities feel interesting and powerful.
- It just works ™️

Summary:
I am delighted this game is experiencing a Renaissance. I always had fun with it, and it just feels like a well-rounded package. Perhaps not a game that wins countless awards, I still feel like it excels in making it a package to enjoy for a long, long time. Would whole-heartedly recommend.
