Arrowhead Devs really got F--ed hard by Sony execs, uh?

Really fun game done by a caring dev team that is being run to the ground by sony's attempt to force this arbitrary linking of accounts cutting the game off from entire regions 3 months after launching; Game was amazing and worked great even when it was optional.
Also seems that even people who bought the game in some regions on PC wont be able to play unless they have a ps5 console as well ( https://twitter.com/DrakomanZX/status/1786949069820068321 ) ; let alone the track record of sony's hacking vulnerabilities.
Way I see it, Linking accounts doesn't do much in favor for the player's quality of play; know who i believe does help? Sony executives who want to inflate account numbers to show off to investors this quarter at players expense.

Goes without saying but please don't abuse the devs for Sony's awful business and PR decision. And possible new players, might be best to skip this one until: sony backtracks, decide keeping the linking optional, and (hopefully) apologizes for the people in regions they essentially baited-n-switched into getting locked out of playing the game.

Edit 5/6/2024: Sony seems to have reverted the mandatory psn linking however a lot of countries that where restricted from even purchasing the game due to the PSN availability are still unable to get back the game; I wont change my review until those countries are reinstated.

The more I am playing this game the more mixed my opinion of it has become; Dunno if is because of bad net or something else but the amount of glitches and bugs that i been encountering have becoming a bit too much for me;

When playing single player:
- Both Zombies and Bot AI go brain dead, I can shoot at them from the distance and they do absolutely nothing.
- Mutants get stuck in geometry and end up doing nothing allowing them to be easy kills
- Voicelines and zombie sounds just go dead, only able to hear the sound of bullets dropping and the occasional step.

When playing multiplayer:
- Sounds in general just vanish, essentially playing like a deaf person.
- When pausing the game ALL the sounds that didn't play on the previous bug just come in all at once (and not quietly)
- Zombies just drop dead out of nowhere
- I start getting hit by zombies that are a good 6 meters away
- If Another player and me are close but he gets 'pinned' my client thinks I'm also pinned taking a good second or 2 of camera glitching to put me back in control with the other player still pinned

When Either:
- Gun models fail to load (including the scoped-in views [leaving a blur instead])

I should clear the minimum requirements no prob; I do have 144+ Fps on the game on minimal settings.

I Want to like the game, specially with all the good things my friends have been saying about it; I didn't expect it be L4D3, I do like what they did with the card builds and some of the mission objectives, I had high expectations of playing it with said friends, and prob still will from time to time, but I would be disingenuous If I blindly recommended this and say the bugs/glitches hadn't drastically affected my enjoyment of the game.

I would say that if you want to play this game play it on the Game pass or get it when is on a very heavy discount.

This game can make you feel like a boss inside VR even if your movement is the cringiest outside of VR which you dont even care cause you feel like a boss in VR.

I don't know how to feel about this "game".

From one part, If I recommend it, I would feel like an hipocrite.
And From the other part, I feel that that this is an experience everyone should experience.

I'll make it short.
The game stutter constantly to 1 fps rendering unplayable. Cannot play the main campaign for more than 10 minutes before I close it (spoiler alert, didn't make it to the 7 steps after Lynch told me to follow him).
But hey! At least I can play in the menu with 300fps, Menu smooth af.
