I've got Steam up and running through WINE (the Windows emulator) on Arch-- although not the games, only the interface, and it crashes fairly often. I've probably done something wrong with WINE. I'll do some more tinkering around and see if I can get it up completely enough to talk to you. If not, I'll just place the files onto my Win7 partition and play from there.
