Dark Souls...a franchise name that any stubborn gamer would loathe and cowar away from. But yet the game still seemed to sink its teeth into my game library. Didn't understand the allure this franchise brought when its name was chanted at the joint midnight release I attended this past March. At the time I passed on a title that little did I know would take the crown as my 2014 game of the year. There are 4 months left to dethrone this masterpiece. Like in Dark Souls fashion in order to earn the crown one must consume the soul but all contenders tread lightly it should be no easy feat. The Dark Souls franchise has literally put Soul back into gaming. From Software you have my attention. *On to NG+ & the season pass.* Victory Achieved
