EDIT: Original review was made on patch 1.0.2.2, it's now been updated to 1.0.3 beta and nothing has changed.

Just some context: I have a 5900x, 3080 and 32gb of 3600mhz RAM. I am well and truly above system specs.

UI: Minimalist. Very little information is given and you have to dig very deep in all windows to get any contextual information.
Graphics: No graphic options minus resolution(refresh rate is tied into the resolution you set, and doesn't even apply at times).
AI: I ran a fully automated faction, my fleets are now currently stuck in place unless I zoom in on them(It took 20 years for one of my fleets to engage a gravillax). The AI has created about 20 fleets so it's impossible to make sure each one is running as I have to zoom in on them to just move. The AI will constantly over produce troops/fleets despite there being no present dangers(diplomatically all close neighbours are allies, no active wars, all pirate factions delt with, no independent colonies in sight).
Reliability: I am getting constant crashes(in one day I got 28 crashes that was able to make a log file, a lot more crashes that didn't create a log). Zooming in/out causes massive FPS drops with a "soft" fix of zooming all the way out and enabling diplomacy and scrolling in one level.
Dev communication: Gave FPS issue to devs on the steam forums, got a reply for what I was doing and how I was "soft" fixing it, gave them a video on how to replicate it then radio silence. No response from anyone bringing FPS etc. concerns to them. They are only fixated on how to stop the black screens when launching the game.

Oh and every update breaks another component of the game, the latest update(from time of writing(0.22)) now makes it so you can't save a game!
