This atavistic abomination clings to the primitive mechanics of a forgotten 8-bit era, yet it remains willfully ignorant of the wisdom garnered through the passage of time. The narrative is but a fractured mirror of former glory, where hollow tributes and mismatched secrets serve only to profane the sanctity of Nosgoth’s history. While the score resounds with the tragic majesty of a dying god, such celestial harmony feels utterly forsaken when tethered to such a crude and discordant interactive vessel.

I have played nearly every game that tried to imitate this formula. Most of them feel like they learned deckbuilding from a YouTube recap. These folks clearly wrote the book.

Somehow it still feels like the same beautiful, cursed equation… but now someone upgraded the lab. New animations, a parade of new enemies, and enough tools to make my previous strategies look like I was playing with oven mitts. It is honestly wild to feel like I am still inside the original “just one more run” vortex, except now the vortex has better lighting and more ways to ruin my evening. The devs didnt reinvent the wheel here. They simply made it smoother, faster, and somehow better at running over my bad decisions. Congratulations to the team for creating the rare sequel that makes me happily buy the same addiction again. Time to purchase this on every platform like a responsible adult with absolutely no impulse control. GG

Yes spite all the complaining, this is hands down my favorite fighting franchise of all time.

I used proxy chat to ask someone to hold the elevator. Another raider (Toasty) I couldn't see calls "Yo, dude hold on, don't trust that guy, I've been watching him kill people for a while and no one would believe me". Not 5 seconds later a bombardier starts firing close to the elevator and takes the betrayer out. Me and toasty extract because we both have to go to work.

There are normal stories in this game. Yes it's worth it.

1) Not a souls-like - reminds me more of Resident Evil
2) Yes, enemies aren't too varied, but the situations you're placed in change combat up enough
3) Asks you to slow down and think - feels great when you figure out a puzzle or combination
4) Brilliant level design. Not just how levels open up, but environmental details pop up in innovative ways (like moss growing in areas where water leaks through
5) Not shy on violence - and I mean uncomfortable trigger warning violence. Be wary if sensitive

One of my top 5 GOTY noms. Great job team

I had a great group and finished our first run in 40 minutes. The moment I thought it was getting stale, it kept escalating. By the last 2 depths I was screaming "WTF IS GOING ON!?" out loud. It's like playing a 4 man D2 raid but in a Lovecraft setting. Insane. Buy it.
