Ever seen a Russian missile miss with 1000 flares near it's target? Nope. American missiles will chase a butterfly if it farts. Picture this. You're at 15,000ft MSL... in the distance you spot an enemy MIG... he fires a heat seeking missile at 4 miles. Now mind you you have the sun to your back. His missile picks you out of millions of incredibly hot nuclear explosions known as the sun. NOW picture this. You in your F16 are chasing after a mig on a -20F day. You lock your heat seeker on and FIRE at 3 miles. He's out of flares. It's tracking to hit, but all the sudden a butterfly at 15000 let's the worst smelling rotten egg fart RIP and bam your missile has picked a new target the innocent butterfly who had a little too much taco tico the other night. Tragedy really... for you and the butterfly, but mostly the butterfly.
Remove or decrease repair costs. MAJOR gaijin fail... AIM9Ls will chase anything that farts. They have a preference for distant teammates vs the enemy. Then punish the players monetarily. This is another scammy technique they use that needs corrected. I understand the "realism" aspect of missiles chasing all heat signatures, but for the sake of the game remove this feature. It's annoying on every level known to man and simply ruins the game for both parties. Additionally you'll watch Russian missiles and french missiles lose their target ahead and snap over in a sea of flares grab another target and hit that guy instead. It's HIGHLY unlikely super unrealistic and far fetched.
Great game otherwise.
UPDATE: Well here we are a year later. 7/15/2024. Repair costs are better, but still an issue. Premium vehicles should NOT retain a repair cost. Repair costs are high enough to still bankrupt you if you don't have at least 1 AA kill in jets. Russian Bias hasn't changed in the slightest.
Update: 6/5/2025.... same issues. Repair costs still need work (better). Missiles are still weird and Russian bias is just unreal. For example - I watched a Mig take a AIM9L to the face detonation and all.... no damage. Talisman on some aircraft should be reduced or what talisman gives should be increased for the price point. For instance to talisman an F16 it's 25-30 dollars in golden eagles.... it doesn't gain enough for that price point. That's charging for a premium aircraft (given it had to be unlocked) then not giving premium aircraft benefits. Additionally, I dont understand why premium purchased vehicles still after years retain a repair cost at all?
The A-10 requires a re-work. The SU25 and A10 shouldn't be in the same BR. The A10 is paper and also can hardly fly on 1 engine. Totally innacurate. The A-10 pops apart so easily HIGHLY incredibly innacurate. This is a quality of the SU25 (popping apart like paper) NOT a quality of the A-10. The a-10 can take a beating from the SU25's main cannon and the A-10 should be able to easily take 1 missile and still keep flying. Facts.
