The combat and overall gameplay of God of War Ragnarøk is an easy 10/10
However the COPIOUS amount of personal therapy each and every character has to go through for the plot to move forward, does get rather tedious about 2/3 through the game.

I honestly don't care that Thor the literal God of Thunder is a drunk and an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to his teenage daughter, and I'm seriously wondering why I have to be there when she decides to do something about it. This isn't the only instance of me feeling like I'm just an observer to a character's actual therapy session, but it is the most baffling and time consuming. It starts to mess with the pacing of the plot after a while.
Still a recommend on account of the exceptional gameplay (and the Valhalla mode)

I followed some simple steps from another Steam review that took me a total of 4 minutes, and I've never had performance issues, except for a few very temporary stutters when moving from between different areas of the two "open world" planets. Apart from that I'm seeing a comfortable 60-70 fps on 1440p.

So how's the game? It's really really good. While the story of Cal Kestis' second adventure isn't quite as engaging as his first one, in my opinion, it's still a well rounded Star Wars story. It's got new lightsaber stances that weren't in the first game, and the platforming sections have improved with new tricks and abilities, that suit Cal's character.
A high point for me is the lightsaber customization, that has me coming back for subsequent playthroughs.
I've enjoyed the game a lot, and even after 100 hours, that continues to be the case for me.

If you're a Star Wars fan in any capacity, this game will likely suit you. Maybe get it on sale if you're worried about performance.

I love this game. I love getting my ass kicked, and I love the sweet sweet taste of landing a crazy combo with my favourite characters. Reina is the best newcomer to the franchise since Tekken 3. The OST is a certified masher, and listening to it at the gym will give you a +15 STR buff. If I'm sick of playng online, I can just play with the "ghosts" of the top players on the global leaderboard. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great! Also I've heard they've briought back Lidia!

This game is the very capable devs' absolute passion project and it shows. In an age where most large-budget games hardly even work, and aggressive monetization plans are everywhere, this game really is worth supporting. I didn't even know how to play the game, I just knew I would love the mini painting (as I do in real life), and decided to go for it. After playing numerous matches, unlocking some new colour palettes, and getting to know the game, I can say it's worth every penny.
Don't let the Early Access turn you off; there's plenty of content here, and they even forgot to put any performance issues or bugs in the game. It's quite beautiful honestly.

Almost 5 years later and this game still holds up in 2021.
One of the best and most polished storydriven singleplayer action games out there. The narrative is great, the levels are expertly designed, the combat (if you want any) is fun thanks to a slew of supernatural abilities.
You'll want to play through more than once to see all the game has to offer.

The gameplay is awesome, but it's the characters and their stories that keeps me coming back.

Brutal and stylish combat that is challenging to overcome, but made slightly more bearable with a game mechanic intrinsically interwoven with the narrative.
A great story about honour, duty, legacy and rebirth (and maybe even timetravel if some of the fan theories are to be believed), told in a slightly more digestible manner than other FromSoft games.

Easily my favourite game of 2019 and my favourite FromSoft game. 2 out of 2 headless apes.

I wouldn't recommend anyone play this in 2020
While I aknowledge this is an important entry in video game history, it's terrible to actually play.
This game has the absolute most abyssmal free-run system in all of gaming, and I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy to play this game. If you really must know the story that started off the AC franchise, go look it up on youtube.
For this game will surely fill your soul with more pain and sadness than 1000 dead family members. And a few pets.
