This game used to be amazing, but over the years, it's seriously gone downhill. It all started changing for the worst when they decided to mess the shop up in a way that made it impossible to navigate for someone who struggled with information overload. I was absolutely shocked when I'd brought this up in the Discord server and CJ (The Lead Artist) had responded saying "I don't see a problem with it". Well clearly, Sir, multiple people saw an issue and you just didn't care. This only became more apparent when someone had asked about adding a feature to reduce flashing for people who suffer with migraines and once again, CJ chimed in saying "The flashing is a feature of the game so we can't change it". Are you seriously telling us you can't just make a simple setting to reduce such a small part of the game?

So, the final conclusion: Phasmophobia has gone downhill, CJ has a suspiciously large amount of time to respond to people explaining why he's right and you're wrong and finally, the devs just do not care about making the game more accessible for everyone.

Well done, guys. You've ruined your once beloved game. Way to go *insert slow sarcastic clap here*

A fun small horror game to play with friends with a lot of room for improvement

I was gifted this game a bit ago and played a good few rounds with two other friends just recently.
The game itself is really good, with decent graphics and the uneasiness of a mannequin chasing you around a small town. I enjoy games like this, so the concept and atmosphere are already a win for me.

The aim of the game is to find a number of black spirals located around the town and destroy them, all while being chased by an entity which has the ability to take control of different mannequins scattered around the map. You must remove all the spirals and then run back to the car which you spawn next to at the start of the game. The humans lose when the entity has killed everyone.

I had a lot of fun playing this, and I really hope to see more updates and improvement, because there's definitely a lot of potential for this game.

Things to improve:

To start with, I'd really like to see a bit more of a balance between humans and entities. I feel that the entity is a little too overpowered, and I don't think survivors have much of a chance if there isn't a full lobby. I think the entity could do with a few handicaps, but these are early days so we'll see how things turn out.

Another thing I'd like to see is more maps. Once again, it's still early days for this game, and so I'm sure we'll be seeing more development to Don't Look Away soon enough. Maybe a map that's completely indoors?

Final thing I'd like to see is a possible change regarding the spirals and crucifixes. While I don't have too big an issue with the humans having to point their jesus sticks at some drawn spirals, I think it would be really cool to see more developed objectives for the survivors to complete in order to win. Keeping it as it is now is currently fine, however, I'm not sure audiences will stick around when the objectives are as simple as they are. More objectives would mean a much more interesting and fun experience, and I would absolutely love to see something like that mixed with the already terrifying mannequins coming out of nowhere.

Anyway, there's my review for DON'T LOOK AWAY". Hope to see more updates to this game and I wish everyone happy gaming!

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this game.

As much as I appreciate what this game brings to the table for the ghost hunting scene in the videogame world, this game is far from finished. Of course, this game only recently dropped onto the Steam store, and so I can respect that the game will be far from perfect.

The start of this review will list some of the issues and bugs I've encountered while playing, while the second half will explain why I've decided not to support this game.

The issues I have found within this game right now are the following;

.Voice recognition needs improvement, as it struggles to pick up on what the player is saying
.The game is a little clunky, and lags from time to time, even on the lowest graphics settings
. When scrolling through menu options, there's a bright flash, which could be quite dangerous for certain people.
.When there is drawing in the ghost book, picking it up will cause the drawing to show on the floor, which I find rather odd.
.Navigating the lobby to start a game can be quite a challenge, as everything feels like it's a bit all over the place. The font used is also quite difficult to read, as the colouring is a bit pale and squished together.

Now that we've got the game issues out the way, let's talk about another problem.

The thing that has put me off this game, is in fact, the developers.
While scrolling through the reviews, I came across one in particular which complained about the issues regarding voice recognition. When reading through this review, I saw that the developers had responded to said review. I wasn't impressed.
Instead of acknowledging the problem and showing any kind of empathy towards the user's complaints, they make a rather unprofessional response, mentioning that "the voice recognition in other games is worse than ours". Completely lost my respect for the developers of this game, which is really saddening.

For whatever reason, the developers don't seem to take too kindly to criticism, and I'm not sure why. Surely, you'd take note of the issues people are experiencing so you can improve your product in the near future. What you should NEVER do is brush it off and respond with "Oh well, other games are probably much worse than our game", because that only loses you the customer's respect for you and your product.

LostOneTeam, I wish you the best for Ghost Exile, and any other games you may release in the future, but with the current attitude you've displayed, I can't support you at this current time.
