As a visual novel and Girls' Frontline enjoyer, I was very satisfied with this game, maybe there will be even more content added, but, even almost 200 hours in, I'm not done with everything there is to do.

Story & Setting
For new players that are unfamiliar with the Girls' Frontline world, it is quite possible to enjoy the story of the game for what it is, though you may not quite understand or see some of the finer details that would require you to know at least some of the massive GFL lore. But, collectible documents and the keyword dictionary will inform you quite a lot if you don't mind reading them to learn about the world.

Reverse Collapse combines a bunch of it's own ideas with those from various franchises like Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, a bit of Steins;Gate and probably some others that I'm unaware of. If you like those franchises, I think this game has a pretty high chance of being at least entertaining for you when it comes to it's plot and setting, especially if you like anime girls, though, to be fair, there aren't that many of them in this game compared to male characters.

I think the overall story is great, it slowly unravels it's mysteries while adding new things for the player to think about, and there is a nice twist, that, to me, seems to hit that sweetspot of not being obvious, but not being too convoluted, showing hints well in advance. At a certain point the story becomes non-linear and allows you to explore different possibilities in a way that I didn't find predictable, will we win this time? Will everyone survive this time? I found it quite hard to tell. I found myself to be quite invested in the story's overall theme of struggle and failure, trying to finally overcome the odds stacked massively against you. I grew to care about the characters and root for them to finally get what they want, despite the fact that the politics of the conflict they are in are far from black and white, and you could easily consider the Antarctican Union to be the worse one if you know the lore. I don't think the game's story is fully concluded within it's current content, but I would be shocked if Mica didn't continue the story, this is a passion project that they clearly care about a lot. I'm waiting to see what happens next, but I'm content with what we have for now.

Gameplay:
The game gives you a lot of easily-readable information, you can see up to which tile the enemies can reach in 1 turn, so you know where to stand to not get attacked, you can click on every enemy to see how far they can go in which direction, you can read each unit's passive and active abilities, there is little need to calculate ranges, damage or hit chances in your head based on the stats of the units, the game makes it very convenient for you to know what you want to know, including the general AI state of every enemy unit, whether they are simply trying to attack whatever unit they can, patrolling on a specific route, or simply standing where they are, there aren't any sudden tricks that the game tries to pull on you, such as spawning enemies somewhere that immediately get a turn, or an enemy that was standing still suddenly deciding to go somewhere without you being aware of that and so on. And even with this amount of convenience, the game challenges you to pay attention to all of the moving parts, it's quite difficult to complete missions in 1 try.

The game can be enjoyed casually, you can restart the turn at any time, the RNG dicerolls are pre-determined, so, if you do the exact same actions in the same order after restarting a turn, you will get the exact same results, if you hit a 1% chance shot after another character hit a 100% shot, you will hit it again if you do that 100% shot with the other character first, you can find the optimal solution for the turn with as many tries as you want.

On the other hand, if you are like me, you can play on the Challenge+ mode, where you can't save in the middle of a mission(except for a 1-time save if you want to quit the game), can't restart the turn, and only have mission-specific checkpoints, which can be up to 20 minutes before you make that fatal mistake, and the missions in general are more difficult, with more enemies, enemies being more dangerous, and so on.

The are 2 distinct types of missions in this game: Combat and Puzzle(usually stealth, but there are some special ones).
Combat missions can be split into 2 types too, those with fog of war, and those without. The former is the more complex kind, I'd say. Making use of sightlines and concealing terrain, you can do some interesting things, but you also have to be on the lookout for enemies hiding in forests and buildings. While missions without fog of war are usually more straightforward, but not always easier.

Personally, I find the simplicity of the enemy AI to be a bit dissapointing, they don't really have a coherent strategy, they mostly move on their own, taking the shortest possible path to one of your units to then attack, if there are multiple targets for them to choose from, each enemy unit has their own priorities(target the unit with the lowest evasion, target the enemy with the highest attack, some units try to target a specific character, and so on), this way it isn't hard to abuse the enemies with mines and barriers, letting them set themselves up for you to easily kill a lot of them, if not all who are close enough to threaten you, on your turn, without ever giving them the chance to attack your actual characters. On later missions this becomes more and more difficult, although your arsenal expands vastly too, I actually believe that your growth outpaces that of the enemies you are facing, making late-game missions easier than mid-game ones in some ways, but you still have to think quite a lot and combine the effects of many skills and items to win effectively, and it isn't very hard to make a fatal mistake on the high difficulty, especially if you are looking to S-rank missions.

Most combat missions later in the game will have some specific mechanics or scenarios that will make them play quite diffirently from each other, I didn't find them to be repetitive despite there being quite a lot of them, the game always tries to give you new things to do beside what your characters are capable of on their own.

As for puzzle missions, they can range from simple, short, fun missions with an interesting gimmick, to very complicated stealth missions where it can be very difficult to notice and pay attention to all of the moving parts without failing because of some of them first, some of these can become a slog on Challenge+ and force you to spend multiple hours trying over and over again, these missions have been updated to allow direct combat, specifically to address players' grievances with them, though a select few remain the same. So, if you will find yourself really disliking the way they play, you will have a different option to avoid torturing yourself if you aren't attentive and patient enough. Or you could torture yourself like me.

The game isn't quite perfect, the developers are updating it and fixing bugs, but there are some that can be off-putting, sometimes the BGM of a battle loops poorly very late in the game, the lack of voice-acting in the battles is somewhat dissapointing and some scenes get really hurt by that, but there are only a select few of those, the voice acting is done by great VAs and is superb, so, with a little bit of copium, I try to ignore some of the rough edges of the game, It is quite long.

The english translation is not great, it isn't awful, but it certainly is dissapointing for a visual novel, compared to how well Girls' Frontline is translated. Thankfully it doesn't reach a level where I struggle to understand what the characters are saying and is only mildly weird in cases, that, sadly, aren't that rare.

This game has a pretty nice atmosphere, combined with good sound design and visual style, it is one of the more unique games i've played. The combination of survival, stealth and horror makes for pretty enjoyable gameplay and truly immerses you into the game.

The game's biggest issue are bugs and lack of polish in certain aspects, but it seems that the developers are working on it and have fixed a number of problems very quickly.

Garry's Mod holds some of my most precious memories. It has quite a bit of variety, with every server being different from the other in many ways. There are a lot of very different gamemodes which offer very different experiences, that is the reason I have so many hours played in Gmod. However, I feel that Gmod strayed away from what it used to be after the gmod 13 update. Now there are far more possibilities for content creators, which gave the community a lot of great custom content, but it has downsides. Now players have to spend a lot of time downloading that custom content while joining almost any server. There is less gamemode variety, there are only a bunch of gamemodes that are popular nowadays. SBox, TTT, many different versions of RolePlay(most of the servers and players), ZS, and a bunch of other select classic gamemodes have a lot of servers dedicated to them, with their own dedicated communities, while some gamemodes are utterly underappreciated, I will always remember Darkest Days, in my opinion a very good gamemode with great mechanics and depth, with a lot of work put into it, but it has only 1 server, and almost no one ever plays it.

Finding good servers can be a hassle now, they can have terrible balancing and P2W(servers that involve PvP), a bunch of useless addons that you have to spend time downloading/installing. But if you find a server you like, you can keep playing on it for quite some time, if you get tired of the gamemode, you can find a good server for a different gamemode and so on. In my opinion, gmod is well worth its price for the amount of time you can spend enjoying it, unless you can't stand unpolished games, Gmod will always feel a bit weird, its a lot better in that respect than before though.

CSN:Z is not a bad game, in fact some time ago i think it was great in its own way. The weapons were actually somewhat balanced and it was more about skill than how lucky you got with your crafting or decoders. But now, things have changed. So many new weapons were introduced, and a lot of of them are just BETTER than the older ones, for example THANATOS - 7 and THANATOS - 9, these weapons are just overpowered, with THANATOS - 9 you can almost kill zombie BOSSES with one attack in Zombie giant, which can take 5 hits from almost any other melee and not lose half of their health, same thing with THANATOS - 7, but a little bit less ridicilous. The game was fun, but its going downhill with these new updates. Now in Zombie Scenario it will take you 40+ minutes to kill a boss with more older weapons, but with the new ones it will take you a max of 15 minutes. I wish Nexon thought about the balance of their game more, and fixed all of this, because right now, i'm always at the bottom of the scoreboard in Zombie Hero because i just get rect by all these M4A1 Dark Knights, AK-47 Paladins which kill me with one mag, even though i have 30k+ health. Before i used to be in Zombie PVP HQ once, which is basically the highest league of zombie pvp players. Try the game if you want, it still has some gamemodes which aren't broken because of the new weapons. A lot of people claim its p2w, i would have definetly disagreed before, but now it's kinda getting to that point.
