The spirit of Wario Land continues to live on in the indie scene and I couldn't be happier

While Antonblast is rough around the edges at times, it still understands the core pillars of wario land well, and oozes more than enough style and adrenaline that I can easily give it a recommendation. The levels are long and dense with collectables and extra loot to grab. even with experience some of these levels can take a good 6-8 minutes to blas through which I love. Bolstering this is the game's shop. There are a lot of little buffs, collectables, and gag items to purchase, and those who want to get everything will be kept busy. There are also alternate game modes, like a combo mode and a time attack mode so there;s plenty reason to revisit and master this dozen set of excellent levels. Gotta mention the game's visuals too. Super bright, colorful and absolutely overflowing with style.

The only sore spot for me are the controls, in particular the transformations. About half of them are really finicky and floaty, which makes it hard to do the precise platforming the game will sometimes require you to do. Beyond that, the hammer bounce and clutch are mapped to the same button with no way to remap them separately, which feels like an oversight. there are plenty of times where I would just bounce over and over again while trying to gain momentum. Still, this wasn't enough to deter me from this fantastic game. Easy Recommend!

With operation medic bag officially concluded I can say with full confidence that I regret my time and money investment with this game, and any current or would be payday fans who may be curious about the game should just stick to payday 2 instead. The last year or so of updates has done almost nothing to address the game's core level design and game design issues and I highly doubt this game will ever recover from its horrible reception. so what happened?

Let's start with the game's launch. you need a starbreeze nebula account and for you to be logged into the service in order to play. during the beta this game's servers couldn't even handle 500 or so people without instability, so a full launch for a highly anticipated sequel was a recipie for disaster. Things have stabilized now but the atrocious launch put a sour taste in many people's mouths that's been hard to recover from still.

But what's still bad about this game now? The number one thing they got wrong was the heists. the only good one is no rest for the wicked: the steps make sense, there's multiple ways to approach the building, and the thermite mechanic rewards players who engage with it with less waiting. 90% of all other heist objectives involve either stealing random phones or standing in a completely open arbitrary circle to hack the wifi. Preplanning is gone as well, which further contributes to heists feeling repetitive and bland.

To top it all off, special emenies have all been completely neutered and almost never shake up the gameplay in any meaningful way. Snipers are way too reluctant to pull the trigger most of the time. tasers almost never actually use their taser, cloakers never attempt to hide and just mindlessly charge the player like a zombie, grenadiers literally do nothing, and bulldozers are way too easy to bait out their kick and cheese them to death. The whole package is a shallow imitation of what came before and feels like little more then a generic unreal4 shooter. your time and money are better spent elsewhere.

Diablo but with shortstack furries. 10/10

The worst thing I can say about Atlyss right now is it's lacking in content, owing to it's single person development and said single person attemping to make an old school mmorpg, but everything here is super solid and shows a lot of promise. This game has got me hooked, and normally mmorpgs are not my kind of game, but this one does it for me. The biggest thing that sets this game apart from its contemporaries is its combat and movement. the game can be pretty challenging and will demand your focus in dungeons since the combat and movement systems are more action oriented than usual mmorpg combat. there's aldo loads of skills to uncover to keep things interesting. the class you pick at the midway point will give you some relevant skills, but there's also other general skills you can learn from world progression and it really adds to both the player expression and role play fantasy elements.

lastly, the game is just super charming. the visuals are lifted straight from the 6th console generation and the music is banging. Well worth the 10 dollars in its current state if you've been aching for something new in this genre or are curious about the game.

Buried underneath a mountain of questionable design decisions, poor reactionary balance, bad bug fixing priority, and technical debt lies the bones of a game that once had promise to cement itself as one of the greatest co-op shooters ever made. It pains me to write this as I have had many hours of fun with this game and once recommended it happily, but time and time again arrowhead seems to show a contempt for it's players by nerfing weapons that are popular, killing strategies found by the playerbase, refusing to address issues of balance, bugs and performance that the community has talked about for years, prioritizing warbond releases over the stability and health of the game, and generally digging in their heels on their grunt fantasy vision for the game as if that would sacrifice their integrity as a studio. It's sad as hell to see but I just can't recommend this anymore as the devs absolutely will not respect your time

Fans do what Nintendont.

After 5 long public years of trial, error and experimentation from the devs, It's finally here, and having beaten the game twice and getting P rank on all of the first floor levels, I can say this game more than lived up to my expectations.

If you've heard about this game before, you've probably heard it be compared to the Wario Land games, and that's a pretty big deal for some since Wario has been absent from platforming games since Wario Land: Shake it 2008. For a bit of context, a big part of what really made the Wario Land games click was their emphasis on controlling a complex 2D character in simple, exploration based environments designed to let the player let loose with their moves. Pizza Tower not only understands what made these games good but expands on it and carves out it's own identity due it it's increased emphasis on movement and score attack mechanics. Peppino has a dizzying amount of moves that can at first make him feel sloppy and bloated to play, but his moveset is designed to be chained together and the levels allow you to make the most of his moveset. It makes it very cathartic to master Peppino and the levels you have him fly through.

This is all coupled with an absolute back to back banger OST, top notch visual presentation, and a fantastic cast of characters making for a game I'll be replaying again and again for years.
