Persona 3 Reload is a very well-executed remake. I haven't run into any major bugs, it's nice to have the 3D environments again, the new music is great and the new voice actors are totally fine. I'll be sinking a lot of hours into this game. The question isn't if P3R is good. The question is if it's $70 USD good.

And the answer is no, not really.

Not when Persona 3 Portable is also on Steam for $20, and has features they could've added to this game but just chose not to. Once the price comes down, I'll probably turn around and change this review to positive, because it IS a good game, maybe even a great game. But I can't in good conscience tell someone they have to play it RIGHT NOW, rather than wait for a price drop or a Steam sale.
