In searching for a game where I could blow up planets, I came across this. Not only does it deliver on making you feel like a powerful deity after battling with someone as weak as a thief to a literal 5th dimensional being, but it comes packed with different planets and times to explore with fleshed out stories and puzzles, different game modes, transformations with different perks for each, and other unlockable abilites that lets you decide the fate of every planet, star, and civilization you come across.

Pros:
Plethora of Diverse Abilities - Flight, laser eyes, an extinction attack, a beam that lets you absorb matter and turn it into energy, etc. I don't want to spoil too much, but there's quite a bit as far as powers are how you want to put them together considering the game gives you three different loadout sets for your melee, blast, and movement that you can swap on the fly.

Engaging Boss Fights - Each major boss had different attacks and abilities to memorize and counter with different stories behind them.

Freedom to Explore As You Choose (on the Starting Planet or Otherwise) - On my first playthrough I didn't even do half the quest on the first planet. I decided I wanted to see how far space goes and I did. I then came back and traveled to each planet I came across without limitation. Were some of the bosses a bit much? Some, but the game is good at helping balance you out with the places you visit, either by giving you materials to absorb to keep up or giving fodder enemies that allow you to level up your skills and abilities.

Simple, but Creative Power System - There are two systems for gaining more power. One is the standard leveling system that increases your level when you kill an enemy or complete a quest by giving you experience points. This system also applies to the abilities you use, however rather than increasing in level when you complete a quest, they increase when you use that specific ability. How the experience is gained, per tik of damage or per use, is dependent on the ability. The other way of gaining more power is to absorb the world around you. Be it rocks, boulders, stars, animals, etc. Each thing you absorb has its own stats that can give you an edge up in the next fight. As you level up so does the cap on things you can absorb. There are also armor sets that provide different stat increases as well.

Cons:
Figuring Out What To Do In Order - I'm thankful there's an actual to date guide on this game (as of 03/04/25) with literal step by step instructions with a video on where to go next, because while freedom to explore and figure things out on your own is a plus, there is sometimes a lack of direction that can leave you scratching your head on what to do next. On my first playthrough without the guide, I figured out that I literally missed half the game's story. Though I managed to still beat the final boss so, a win is a win.

Graphics - I wouldn't really say they're next gen, but they get the message across for what the game is. Though, the scenery on the first planet really surprised me at first. I've taken several screenshots while flying through the sky because I thought it was so beautiful.

Character Customization - This is probably the biggest strike I have against this game. It's character creator is really just you picking what you think is the best out of all the ugly and even then there aren't really any visually appealing options to pick from. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder though, so maybe you wouldn't have as hard of a time making a character that you personally liked.

Loading Screens - I almost forgot about this part of the game because I walked away so often when I saw one. Whenever you go through a portal in this game, which honestly isn't too often, you're hit with a loading screen and my god does it take a while. Reminiscent of the old GTA loading times, you could grab a snack or three whenever you're hit with this. Though to give it credit, there is quite a lot to load up. Literal space with entire plants to generate with civilizations, stars, or entire landscapes depending on which portal you're going through. So, it's a give and take.

Overall: 9/10 - A little hard to figure out what to do sometimes, but definitely scratches the godly power trip itch.

AMAZING, even though I still don't undertand how to use the flying machanics for the propller, wings, and hovers.
