If you PVP often you will be put into lobbies filled to the brim with cheaters. There are several in every single lobby you get into. If you play PVE style and don't shoot people often you will likely not run into many but if you like PVP this game is in a poor state. If it isn't the cheaters its exploiters getting out of the map. Game is really bad right now.

I played Rust for years and enjoyed the highs and lows that it comes with. I am extremely skilled in pvp and in building bases and have beat some of the best players in the space. I have been in plenty of content creators videos winning or losing. I was banned while playing a Facepunch Premium server. I have never cheated in this game ever. Never used any exploits or scripts and I get banned while streaming to friends in discord. I have spent a lot of money on skins in this game and you can see it in my account. I can only assume an angry admin I killed abused his power or EAC is just terrible at scanning for cheats and banned me for no good reason at all. I filed an appeal to EAC after having to Google how the stupid system works to get appeals going. At the time of this review my appeal is STILL pending review after 175 days. I made several tickets to Facepunch and they give basic responses on how to file an appeal and don't help at all. After my first couple tickets they stopped responding and just closed the tickets as resolved. I made a Reddit post on the official subreddit and got some helpful insights into maybe why I was banned by kind users. They speculate maybe my audio interface was being detected as some sort of hardware cheat after giving all my details about my PC but it's hard to know because they conveniently don't tell you why you were banned because it can "help cheat developers". After my post on Reddit being up for a bit they removed my post. WHY??? I made a few chats in the official discord and nobody working at the company will respond. It is insane how difficult it is to get some help. I assume the just think I am some cheater trying to get my account back. I have come to terms with losing all the expensive skins and it is what it is at this point. I can only hope my appeal will finally be reviewed by someone and I can get my account back.
