Good Game

I was genuinely excited for The Casting of Frank Stone, but it ended up being a huge letdown. The entire game is just buildup with zero payoff—the ending is dull, and honestly, so is the rest of the experience. I got it on sale for $9, and the only real value came from the Dead by Daylight cosmetics. As a standalone game? It’s complete trash. Skip this one.

So far I would not recommend. Since I've owned it, the DLC has been unplayable. Considering a refund.

I'm about halfway through this game, and I’ve got to say, it’s been absolutely amazing so far! The developers did a fantastic job of staying true to the spirit of the original, and the graphics are nothing short of stunning. The atmosphere and detail in every scene really immerse you into the experience, and it feels like a fresh yet familiar take on a classic. I’m really impressed with how well the game captures the essence of what made the original so great.

That said, I do have one small gripe—why did they make Angela Orosco look so different? I hate to say it, but her character design just feels off, almost like they made her look more masculine, which doesn’t quite match her personality or past design. It’s a minor issue, but as a fan of the original, it’s something that stands out.

Now, onto the one real negative: the performance issues. Despite how amazing the game looks, I’ve been running it on a 4060 Ti, and I’m struggling to keep a consistent 30fps. There are constant frame drops and stuttering, which really detracts from the experience, especially during intense or cinematic moments. It’s honestly disappointing to see such a great game be held back by optimization issues. Hopefully, they can address this in future patches because it’s frustrating to see such potential bogged down by poor performance.

Was an awesome game till they made it unplayable for me. I don't have a playstation account, I don't want one. I play on PC for a reason. Would not recommend a game who does a bait and switch like that, Can't even refund the game, and won't be able to log in soon.

EDIT: Refunded request for the game. Don't plan on playing again. They tried, and failed... but they still tried.
