Is it Dark Souls in a mech? No

Is it an outstanding addition to the Armored Cored series? Hell yes!

The game is basically everything i wanted it to be.

An action packed mech battle shoot'em up that requires analysis and planning on how you take on different levels, enemies and bosses.

You absolutely cannot jump into this game gunho with full pew pewnmide engaged.

Each level can be approached in different ways to either use the environment to its advantage, or utilise a certain loadout, or a bit of both.

It's not an easy game, but not quite as unforgiving as Dark Souls.

The level of depth with the loadouts and how they can be used in different levels is brilliant.

The art and design of the mechs and environments is stunning. Half the time I'm thinking "yeah that looks pretty cool".

Added bonus, the performance is excellent. I've had it set to the the max with 120fps and it hasn't dipped under that once yet (10700k + 3070).

My only gripe is the menu system. It was clearly designed to favour controllers and some of the navigation can get quite frustrating using keyboard and mouse.

Overall, I'm a very happy gamer right now.
