Terraria: A 2D Masterpiece That Ruined My Sleep Schedule

Terraria is what happens when Minecraft, Dark Souls, and an endless addiction collide in a pixelated fever dream. You start off punching trees, thinking it’s a cute little survival game—then suddenly, you’re summoning interdimensional horrors, dual-wielding laser swords, and constructing an entire capitalist empire of NPCs who overcharge you for bombs.

The sheer amount of content is ridiculous. One minute, you’re digging underground for ore, and the next, a giant eyeball is dive-bombing you at Mach speed. And just when you think you've "finished" the game? Nope. There's still Expert Mode, Master Mode, For the Worthy, and mods that make the base game look like a tutorial.

Speaking of mods—oh boy. TModLoader is basically Terraria, but with more insanity. Want to turn your character into a god? Done. Fight bosses that make the Moon Lord look like a toddler? Sure. Install a mod that replaces all sound effects with screaming? Why not.

If you enjoy spending hundreds of hours in a game that keeps pulling you back for "one more boss fight," then Terraria is your new best friend. Just be warned—your sleep, social life, and sanity are non-refundable. 10/10.

An unbiased opinion from a college student about EA SPORTS FC 25

As a twenty-one-year-old college student with limited free time, my expectation was that EA SPORTS FC 25 would offer the ideal blend of relaxation and competitiveness. After investing 70 euros in it, I jumped in with the hope of getting my money's worth. Here's my frank assessment of the game, covering both its highs and lows.

Playing the game:

Let us begin with the gameplay, which is the essence of any sports game. It has a refreshing emphasis on realism and seems more seamless than its predecessors. The ball's dynamics provide for some exhilarating moments, and the players move more naturally. But the AI can be incredibly unreliable at times. In certain games, it seems like your squad is barely awake, but in others, they exhibit extraordinary positional skills. Sometimes that volatility destroys the momentum, particularly if you're a competitive type.

The matches can be easily accessed by someone with limited time, such as myself, but don't anticipate finishing them quickly. Whether you're playing online or versus AI, there's always a competitive edge, so you can't just play for fun. You will have to be really focused.

Ultimate Team Mode:

The FC 25 feature that I still find most addictive is Ultimate Team. Building your ideal team can take hours, and there's nothing quite like the adrenaline you get when you unlock a great player. However, and this is a huge one, microtransactions are heavily emphasized. This portion of the game can be annoying if, like me, you're a student with limited extra cash after spending 70 euros for the game. Getting good players without going over budget is a difficult grind. It's still enjoyable if you have patience, but there's always a persistent temptation to buy packs.

Career Mode:

One of my favorite game modes for unwinding is Career Mode. It's less demanding than Ultimate Team but yet provides enough of a challenge to keep you interested whether you're playing as a manager or a player. For a college student who simply wants to kick back and relax, this is the perfect mode. It doesn't feel like much of an improvement over the version from last year, though. Better animations and some enhanced AI strategies are among the minor but hardly revolutionary enhancements. If you've played earlier iterations, you can get tired with the gameplay.

Volta and Pro Clubs:

If you have buddies who are FC 25 fans, Pro Clubs is a fun. It's a terrific method to compete and have fun at the same time because of the collaboration component, and the social factor of making progress with your friends adds value to the experience. Conversely, Volta feels as though it has lost its sense of self. It tries to be the street football game that FIFA Street used to be, but it lacks that certain something. Though nothing to brag about, it's nonetheless a good diversion from the more somber modes.

Presentation & Graphics:

EA SPORTS FC 25 has a gorgeous visual style. During games, the lighting creates a dramatic effect, the player models are detailed, and the stadiums have a life of their own. Although it's arguably the most visually appealing football game I've ever played, let's face it: graphics are only so good. Although the pre-match build-ups and commentary are excellent, the presentation itself occasionally gave me the impression that "style over substance" was the focus.

Problems & Bugs:

Unfortunately, FC 25 has several issues just like the majority of new releases these days. I experienced a couple game crashes during matches, which is very annoying when you're playing a competitive game. In certain animations, players collide in ways that contradict physics, which is also a little awkward. Although it doesn't completely break the game, it does take you out of the moment.

Time Commitment:

Both a boon and a bane for someone with little free time is FC 25. It's simple to start a quick battle when you have 20 minutes to spare, but be aware that the game requires a big time commitment if you want to advance seriously, particularly in modes like Ultimate Team. You will need to spend a lot of time in front of the screen grinding through matches, accomplishing objectives, and collecting in-game awards if your goal is to assemble a powerful squad without having to buy packs with real money. If you want those elite players, be ready to put in a lot of time—it's all too easy to lose track of it.

In summary:

Does EA SPORTS FC 25 have a 70 euro value then? Yes, if you're searching for a competitive football game to play whenever you have free time. The modes provide diversity, the action is enjoyable, and the visuals are gorgeous. But you might feel a little let down if you were looking for significant advancements over previous iterations or wanted to avoid paying more for microtransactions.

It achieves a good balance for someone like myself who is balancing gaming and college, between easy fun and intense competition. But it's more of a gradual jog forward than a revolutionary leap from FIFA. You'll enjoy it if that's alright with you. If not, you could find yourself wanting more.

As a huge Harry Potter-verse fan, it's so cool having the opportunity of visiting places from the movies you so much love. Plus being able to write your own story and make your own choices (Houses, spells, etc.). It's just something remarkable

Dead by Daylight: A Game of Screams, Memes, and Questionable Decisions

Dead by Daylight is the perfect mix of horror, chaos, and bad decisions. You either run for your life as a survivor or chase people down as a killer while they somehow dodge your attacks like they’re in The Matrix.

With 600 hours in this game, I’ve seen it all. Survivors who loop killers for five generators like pros, and others who go down in five seconds because they tried to flashlight save a rock. Playing killer? Some matches, you feel like a horror movie villain—unstoppable, terrifying. Other matches, you get bullied by four identical Megs with toolboxes, and suddenly, you’re questioning your life choices.

The DLCs are wild. One game, you're escaping Michael Myers, the next, you’re getting jumpscared by a 7-foot-tall Xenomorph. And let’s not forget the most terrifying thing of all: solo queue teammates who crouch in a corner while you’re getting chased across the map.

But honestly? That’s what makes it fun. Whether you’re sweating for a 4K or just messing around with friends, every match is an adventure. Frustrating? Absolutely. Addictive? Without a doubt. 10/10, would get tunneled again.
