Overall, the game is mostly unbearable as melee class compared to POE 1, there's quite a number of things the current state of the game needs to work on.

Desperately needs some re-balancing when the highest DPS skill is the default attack for melee classes. Kills any excitement when unlocking higher tier skill gems only to find out that it's slow and clunky.

Accuracy needs to be looked into, imagine having to spec into Dex just to make sure you don't miss a point blank attack that takes 200 years of collective game design to cast as a melee characters while every other mobs seems to spawn pools or explode after death.

Gameplay feels a little clunky due to the hit boxes of mobs. You can't roll past enemies and it feels like the game favors ranged classes heavily especially some boss fights.

Edit: Cleared 4th ascendancy on the warrior (Melee LMAO) and got hit by a bug whereby the portal does not appear and didn't even get the last ascendancy points. Game is unplayable when you lock a HUGE crucial part of skillpoints behind multiple layers of RNG. Even when you beat those odds, the game manages to find a way to screw you over. This made POE1 Lab runs feels like heaven, what are the developers thinking when they decided to port over the worst mechanics and ruin the experience for all?? Overall it offers way less diversity compared to POE1 even with all the new combat mechanics due to how clunky and slow the combat is.
