The zoomers form of solitaire made manifest, not in mechanics or gameplay, but in spirit and methodology.

I can already tell I will be playing this until I grow old and frail. My children will wonder what brings such a heavy appeal to something as simple as playing cards, and they shall either try it their selves and discover what made this game of yesteryear so indefatigable, or they'll call me lame and cringe and go back to fighting IRL raids in Augmented Reality or some shid.

Regardless of the outcome, they will come to know the name jimbo the self same way I did; With lament and joy.

11/10 it stopped me from actually gambling all my money away

Wait for full release. You have purchased an early access game, and instead of reporting/understanding that there are always bugs you *will* find after 1.5-3 ish (?) hours of gameplay, you write up an essay on steam reviews on how the game isn't like it was. What are you, some 35 year old millennial that has time to play only 3 fully polished* games a year? Good job, you overhyped yourself off of nostalgia bait seeds that you yourself had sewn from the game before.

*polished being a lie because all AAA titles come out as early access titles nowadays anyways XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Real review time:
as of writing this multiplayer's buggy at best right now, lag abound, spaghetti netcode migrated over from s1, and it is fair to say I have had bosses just straight up not spawn in their room. stick to singleplayer for now, because while admittedly not at the same level of polish as s1, it retains and furthermore expands upon cover mechanics, environmental hazards, class leveling and in-game progression, (not meta progression, mind you) environmental storytelling, along with allowing for modding support to top it off. Only real issue with singleplayer I have noted is that a fair amount of the a.i. will get caught on random collision boxes and will not move unless you are literally in their face.

Tl;dr? it's buggier s1 remade in a new engine for now. it holds all the landmarks of what made the original great, and is expanding upon these facets to make (at least what I hope to be) one of the ultimate experiences for synthetik players as a whole. Don't like it? go back to s1, at least there you'll be able to harvest your nostalgia trees in peace and not bother the rest of us!

>start crashlanded scenario on blood and dust
>forget to check spawn terrain, end up in boreal forest
>make shacks out of wood as stopgap until stone blocks are made
>get raided by impid tribals with fire arrows on day 2
>colonists get scared of fire and run into burning shack to evade (?) fire
>they all burn to death because an impid bodyblocked the door :)))

overall berry good colony sim. one of, if not *the* best on the market as of writing this, and is even better with mods.
oh yeah something something organ harvesting yada yada satanic blood cults and such as the likes ;p

This game is playing out like how it does when I ask my friend who plays nothing but DOTA about if he actually enjoys it or not.

after about 400 hours I have concluded that any game that is 4x and has city-building mechanics will inherently turn you into a nationalist

These people deserve all the credit they get, from making a game series that spanned my entire teenage/childhood life and turning it into something bigger than it was probably imagined to be. Game features heavy roguelike elements with more or less of the same sort of loot and scoot gameplay loop that union city/deadzone provided.

there are small bugs here and there too, mostly having to do with player hitreg on weird obstacles and such like that, but otherwise it runs very well on half decent computers and is pretty satisfying once you get the hang of it.

childhood game berry nostalgic would highly rate/10

This Game is great if you love 64 bit graphics and a survivalistic gamestyle. the multiplayer can be a pain, but other then that, it's awesome!
