Okay, I've been avoiding writing a review for this game for a while, after all this game has been out for a while, has great reviews, and most importantly, a sequel is coming out in a few months, which should be more horror, more atmospheric, and most importantly, there should be more action, but let's say, if this game had not been created, would any of us know Ninja Theory ? I think only people who played DmC: Devil May Cry, but that doesn't really matter now, because Ninja Theory got all the attention with this game. However, what is it like and how is it played ?

Story

Senua is a Celtic warrior from the Pict clan. She ran away from home after her father, the clan druid, Zynbel, wanted to remove the darkness from her through torture and abuse. The game begins with returning to your home.
her father, Zynbel, did not understand that Senua and her mother, Galena, suffered from a mental illness that was passed down from mother to daughter. Zymbel thought locking them in a hole or beating the darkness out of them would rid them of their disease. Of course he failed and so Zynbel burned Galena at the stake after failing to remove the darkness from her. Senua being present at this caused a blackout of memory and mind. Everything started to come back after another trauma when her lover Dilion was sacrificed in a bloody ritual by the northern riders.
After Senua witnessed this event as well, the voices in her head that she had heard throughout her childhood began to awaken, forcing her to create a quest in her mind that she must save Dilion's soul. And spare her from damnation at the hands of Hel. She takes her lover's severed head and sets out on a mission to eradicate her Dillion's soul, guided by the voices in her head. Senua meets Druth on her way, who has been captured by the Northmen. He witnessed, as their slave, terrible crimes and committed terrible crimes himself, because he thought that such a life was better than death. Along the way, he tells Senue Norse fables and mythology to occupy her mind and the voices were not so strong that Senue didn't go crazy with them. Druth also gives Senua two missions, to kill Surt and Valran two leaders of the Northmen clans. After killing them, he gains access to Helheim, where he believes he will meet Dillion again.
Druth, after completing the tasks, leaves Senua's mind, leaving her in the hands of the Shadow, a new untrustworthy voice representing her father Zynbel. Shadow guides Sena through Helheim and voices try to confuse and haunt Sena. In the midst of this chaos, Dilion voices in her head, comforting her. Senua remembers practicing with the sword as a little girl and remembers meeting Dillion. Who made her a warrior and fell in love with her. He didn't let her take her own life after a plague hit her village and her father told her it was because of her because her illness was a curse. Dillion advised her to use her votes as an advantage to complete her journey. This helped Senua in the trials of Odin where the reward is a legendary sword that can defeat the darkness. Senua takes the sword from the Pain Tree and travels deep into the mountain to slay the Beast. Then He goes to face the Shadow, that is, her father. Senua realizes that her father could not deal with her mother's psychosis and thought that the only solution was death.
Senua defeats the darkness by realizing Dillion's death. He begins to overcome his fear of the dark and the darkness gradually begins to fade away with the voices. Senua leaves, leaving behind voices, darkness, suffering and the lovers' fate.

Gameplay

To be honest, I'm happy when a game combines several things together and creates a really Unique Gameplay, but again, these things must not be repeated too much, and this game really doesn't have to hide much, because here you only do 3 things over and over, and those things are: Combat, Exploration, and solving riddles or various puzzles, yes, you have a dark and interesting atmosphere for each challenge, but what I really dislike about games is when I get stuck somewhere and have to press Esc and turn on YouTube in order to move at all , I'm not saying that I did it all the time, but if you spend 30 straight minutes on one puzzle, I have the impression that your patience will say "Enough!" and it just won't let you and you have to watch the video, well, and then you have another passage where there is a fight or an exploration and again puzzles and on and on like that. After about 2 hours of playing, you start to get tired of it and then you say to yourself that this Gameplay is really not particularly unique. So you practically do the same thing over and over again, but not to be negative all the time, I also have to say that the Combat system that the developers put into this game seems quite easy, but in the end you will find out that only one human factor matters in the combat, and these are Reflexes (respectively perception), if you have slow reflexes it is most likely that you will die a lot in the game, just because the "Deflection" or "Parry" you give allows you to hurt the enemy a lot, and if you miss this chance, you can either miss a great chance to hurt the enemy or it can cost you a life, which isn't great either, with typical enemies it's not that much of a problem, but when you have a Boss against you, then every action you take will cost you really great timing, not to mention that when Senua gets hurt, your screen will become more darker and darker, so when you know that you have a really dark screen, there is a possibility that you will start to panic, but it probably depends on the concentration of each person.

Graphics and Optimization

I have to admit that I have never seen a game from 2017 with such amazing and realistic graphics, the game has quite high requirements back in the day, but in 2024 it is probably not such a big problem and I have the impression that 90% of players play the game in 4K on more than 60FPS, so I have the impression that the question of whether the game is well Optimized is more of a question for people with a Mid-End PC, however, with my components (see the end of the review) I play the game at Very High 60FPS+, so I think that the game has really great Optimization and the game had it even before they added the new Update, which added Scailing and the new DirectX interface, so I think that nowadays almost no one will have a problem with Optimization or with starting the game in general.

Conclusion

Nowadays, games like this are practically not made anymore, yes, there are a few factors that drag the game down, but overall I think it's a very good title and I only hope that in a few months we will see an even better performance in the form of Hellblade 2 which is in development for a long time and I'm just looking forward to playing the game and writing a (hopefully) positive review, however if you're interested in a fairly dark action game with horror elements or would like to immerse yourself in the world of Hellblade I have the impression that you can't with this game make a mistake, at least give it a chance and if you enjoy it, it won't hurt to look forward to the continuation of the story, for me, I think that this game was really successful and the developers really put their heart into it and worked on it so that everyone who buys the game had the best experience they can have, however, in the end, I want to recommend that if you play the game, you better put on headphones, because you will have a much better experience from the game.

Move fast baby, don't be slow
Step aside, reload, time to go
I can't seem to control
All this rage that's inside me

The Devil May Cry and CAPCOM series pamper this brand as much as possible, and in 2019, when the fifth sequel to this series was released, they showed us that the level of the original DmC: Devil May Cry could be even higher.
As everyone knows, the main protagonist of every Devil May Cry has always been Dante, but in this game you have exactly 3 main protagonists. Dante, V and Nero. You will be able to play for each of them and each of them has different and unique abilities, which massacre demons in dozens in terms of the story, so I prefer not to summarize it, because DMC is something like DOOM ... usually you are not interested in the story and prefer you will be captivated by the great fight that awaits you. However, this episode takes you to Dante's brother, Vergil. He is to blame for what is happening on earth now and why there is chaos and demons everywhere. You have a "simple" task to stop Virgil and save the world. However, he will throw sticks at your feet all the time. This episode is especially different from the others, as it looks like the creators took inspiration from Dark Souls, you have quite the same gameplay as other games from the Devil May Cry series, and also Bossfights. Each boss is well designed and has unique combat mechanics. You will see that on the most difficult difficulty, many of them will be a problem for you, as their attacks do not go back together but are random, so one boss can do the same attack in a row, but they have at least a little respect for the player himself. Compared to RE3, here on great difficulty, when the boss knocks you to the ground, it will give you time to recover and get up. Since we are talking about DMC, here is the main style and with the style you kill all enemies. I have to admit that although I only played 2 parts of the DMC series, I have to say that both are the same massacre for comparison, but there is something sad to compare and they are mechanics, each Devil May Cry has practically the same world, the same progress in the world , the same abilities techniques and the same ways to get rid of demons. So in a way, we're talking about the same games here, just with the same graphics and a different story. Although this is a very unsatisfactory minus, it still doesn't change the fact that every game will convince you that you don't have to worry about this, because you won't even think about it, because it will give you so much action that you won't even notice these details. From my personal point of view, I don't have much to complain about this series or this game, because this series won't give you much to worry about, you just have action here and play, and this way this game won't let you look for bugs, although CAPCOM does games, so that when they finally come out they have a minimum of mistakes. From the point of view of this game, I can absolutely recommend it to you, if you played past parts, so I'm sure you will enjoy this part, because non-stop action and fighting style is a thing that a lot of people enjoy. If you need action, this game will offer you more than enough.

8/10

Resident Evil 2 was one of the best games of the series, the original game in 1998 was a great success, which was also seen in 2019 when the Remake of this game was released, which was also a great success and the developers took a step in the right direction. But the same cannot be said about Resident Evil 3 Remake. This installment will give you the choice to play as Claire Redfield or Leon S. Kennedy. Both of these characters have practically the same passage through the game, only some characters change and also some places where they can go, but basically the goal is the same. Let's take Claire for example, she has a different story and arsenal of weapons, while Leon has a Shotgun, Claire has a grenade launcher, which is very effective. Claire is tasked with finding her brother Chris, who she discovers is somewhere in Europe and not near Racoon City. On his way, he meets the true nature of the virus that has escaped and is now infecting the entire city. She meets William Birkin, who used his G-Virus to avoid death and became a monster with not very nice features (If you don't know, people infected with the G-Virus try to find a family member and mate with them to spread the pathogen further). And everyone who stands in his way will be killed, it's cruel, but, it's a virus. Claire finds Birkin's daughter, whom she cares for and keeps Birkin away from her because she sees him as a death threat and not a virus spreader. You'll walk through beautiful locations from the Raccon Police Department to Umbrella's secret underground lab. I must admit that even after 20 years, the developers still stick to their Surival Horror theme, which works great and is actually the image of all Survival horror games we know now. On Hardcore difficulty you have back your favorite Ink Ribbons which are used as a Save, when you play on Normal or Assisted you have Autosave and you can save the game as many times as you want, but on Hardcore you have to find this thing to be able to save your progress. As for the actual environment in which you are, you can sometimes see continuity with older games, or even allusions to the original. I haven't played the original RE2 by myself but I've seen a whole game, so I know how the Remake is different and I have to say yes the changes are there but they are practically minor and a lot of things from the original are carried over to the Remake which is really cool (Not like RE3). I will not even comment optimization of the RE Engine itself, as the game is on the same Engine that already had Resident Evil 7 and it works great (Although I noticed FPS drops on the Next Gen version and so I switched it with an older version, it may not be the case for everyone) . If I take it all the way around, Resident Evil 2 still carries its name and the original game and gives players a unique gaming experience that is like Keanu Reeves said "Breathtaking" if you are new to the Resident Evil series I can warmly recommend this game. Although you should play Resident Evil 1 first ... you can easily skip Resident Evil 0, it's a pretty terrible installment. But for those of you who were familiar with the world of Resident Evil, you will definitely agree that this game is truly unique.

Intro

After such a long time and also after the time when I'm about to finish this game for the third time, I thought that I haven't written a review for this game yet, but that will change this time, because if I'm sure, I wrote a review for Call of Duty MWII and not for another COD. However, here we go.

Great and heart-wrenching story

This Call of Duty, compared to others that were in the Future, takes us back to History, more precisely to the period of 1944, where the US landing took place in Normandy, France, where you and the other allies must push the German troops away and free at least part of France, but D-Day is only the beginning, after a while you will start to get on the Germans' nerves on a larger scale, just by advancing further and forcing them to leave "heavily" occupied territories, I be at that time in the SS units and seeing how they push us back more and more, I would probably give up on it, but this is not the case and the Germans are still fighting and trying to keep their territory and defeat you, but it wouldn't be Call of Duty if the Germans didn't lose, right? So, in summary, your story starts on Utah Beach in Normandy and you, as the main character named Ronald "Red" Daniels, signed up for the Army to help your country and free Europe from Nazi oppression, on your way you immediately meet a new friend named Zussman, who will help you and over time you develop such a relationship with him that you perceive him as your own brother. This game is almost identical to the other Call of Duty, with the fact that although there is a really well-written script, you still feel as if the game is missing something and they did not catch your interest to the end, but for me as an undemanding player, it makes a really great impression.

Revolutionary or Typical Call of Duty?

From my point of view, it's really good in some ways and in some ways unchanged like the other parts, for Old School players who still played Call of Duty 1 (Like me) you definitely remember that you had to collect first aid kits there to restore your health, which is something that was missing later in other parts of Call of Duty, because they gave you Auto-Heal which was good enough for you, you were injured, it doesn't matter, you just hid and waited for Auto-Heal to heal you back to full health and honestly for the atmosphere of the game spoils me a lot, I expected that at least on higher difficulty the regeneration would be temporary or only half, but not the only thing that changes is the interval before it starts and before it heals you. But as far as this part is concerned, her words during this part "Call of Duty is going back to its roots" weren't just because you don't have any Auto-Heal here (Except for Multiplayer, it's there), here you have a Health Bar and you have to use first aid kits to fill it, so forget about any Auto-Heal this time, I'm glad they put this function back and honestly I wouldn't be angry if they kept it, but as we know from the last MWII, this option is probably passé with the developers. However, the main mechanics like peak or bayonete charge are still in the game, which is great, but this is all I can say about it, because the other elements in the game are identical to the other parts.

How is Optimization?

A difficult and at the same time easy question from my statistics, what I managed to summarize in the last 1H and 8M to ensure is that the Optimization of the game itself is really great, just for information, I play on 1080p (1920x1080) Ultra settings of everything that goes (Except image scaling) so the technical side itself is great my Maximum FPS: 168FPS Average FPS: 100-108FPS and Minimum FPS: 80FPS So for me it is Optimization the games are really great, but there is one flaw and that is the movies before the missions, for some reason when the movie is loaded and my FPS drops to 30-22, it is a problem, which is not even a problem, but it is only a minor flaw in the beauty, however, regarding the technical side of the game, I can say that the game is excellently Optimized.

Full price or Discount?

Almost 6 years after the game has been in the world and it still costs €60, I have to say that the game is definitely worth it even at full price, because the story of the game will prepare you for 7-8 hours of time, I think it is still adequate for the price, but as we know, Call of Duty is never about the Story and everyone wants Multiplayer, I don't know how it is here because I haven't played MP for a long time, but it is definitely still alive there somehow. However, you can play the story of this game in one sitting, because 7-8 hours is the time you can finish the game without any problems (I finished the whole Assassin's Creed 1 in one sitting), so I think it is not a problem to finish it in one run, however, how you approach the game is entirely up to you, I can only say that this game is worth it and you can enjoy it even as a casual player who does not play many FPS games.

PROS AND CONS
✔ Average play time
✔ No Auto-Heal system
✔ Great optimization
✔ Beautiful visualization

✘ Unoptimized loading into a mission

The Resident Evil series is great in itself and I've been a fan of this series since the release of Resident Evil 4, so since 2005. However, when I learned in 2016 that a messy work would be followed by a new one, I wasn't too blown away, since I knew the last episode was worthless, but when I saw Trailer and then played the Demo, this episode was instantly in my Steam library and I was just waiting for it to be released. This episode is cut off from the whole series and unexpectedly, because when they messed up the whole story, which was built for 20 years, I didn't have much expectations, because this episode could be the beginning of a sequel or a beginning and an end at the same time, but the creators kept the gates open to continue the moment when the final captions are and you hear the buzzing of a cell phone. It was probably a plan if this part sold well and was successful, which he did unrivaled, and I'm glad for that.
However, this episode takes you to the role of Ethan Winters, who came to Dulvey in Lusiana to look for his missing wife, who after a few moments attacked him like an animal, then you meet the Baker family, Jack Baker, Lucas Baker, Zoe Baker, Marquarite Baker and "Eveline Baker" gradually reveals what happened and why these (People) wanted to kill you, eventually it turns out that they are infected with some mold that forces them to do things they would not otherwise do, kidnap people, make them monsters, kill them and all thanks to some mold, I know it's weird to hear, but it's even weirder to play and feel the whole atmosphere first hand, yes this part will give you real fear, especially if you use headphones, then it's quite a scary roller coaster and you just rush down and down. Eventually, however, you will find the source of the problem and "solve it" or kill it. This episode built up a characteristic and tension so strong that some players did what would happen right after the conspiracy theory was over, but what happened in Resident Evil Village was probably never guessed by any of these people. For me, this part of the Resident Evil series is and will be one of the best and I'm already looking forward to giving you a review of the Resident Evil 4 Remake next year. If even after this long time you have not bought this part, do not hesitate to buy it, it is more than useful to buy it at full price and even more useful to buy it at a discount.
