Much better then train sim world by a mile, Train sim world has just become a big cash grab while SimRail actually does new and cool things while not trying to grab every penny. The games really fun, the driving feel realstic and the train controller/dispatch mode is awesome. I love the multiplayer functionality too it makes everything feel more real when it's not just AI. I'm currently level 42 and have driven 846KM in game so I'm 100% enjoying it. Community in Multiplayer is nice too by the way I love the interactions I sometimes get If i'm doing dispatch.

Very disappointed the game was abandoned a long time ago there hasn't been any updates since 2024 the game lacks content it's one of those games that has "Potential" but Aerosoft being Aerosoft it got canned or ViewApp. Probably the same with the sister tramsim game. I wouldn't buy anything from Aerosoft now or at least not ViewApp its probably all gonna suffer the same fate I mean I swear some of ViewApp's games have AI thumbnails now. But yeah very disappointed maybe someone will save it with mods but I doubt it don't waste your hard earned money on a very much dead game that only lasts so long and lacks a lot and of course they aren't letting me refund it lol simply because I was holding up hope for updates even though my playtime is below 2 hours.

I was excited to upgrade from 2020 after waiting for more then a year sadly the game still clearly has a bunch off issues the game would freeze after 2-5 minutes and you wouldn't be able to do anything for 1-2 minutes this happened on first launch usually on customizer but countines afters setup I guess a fix could be downloading the content for the game ? But that would put me over the 2 hour limit easy on my internet its too much of a gamble and unacceptble for such an expensive game it's very sad I liked the idea of being able to walk around and having better landing physics on new terrian, the terrian generation genuinely looks better then 2020 but its just too expensive to try to work through this freezeing bug knowing every second in the game is adding to my playtime. So i'll just give it more time and refund it for now I don't know when the game will be playable but I don't think its ready yet still.

Coming from Cities Skylines 1 which I played the heck out of for years and eventually got into again recently because of all the mods and assets it has which CS2 still lacks at least for me when I try to build Japanese citys and European ones. Sadly this game did not live up to the hype at all because of the bugs and crashes and the lack of options without mods. Just doesn't feel ready to me for the price of the game right now. While I suck at writeing epic reviews that are detailed (Look at others for that) just from my experience so far I wouldn't recommend it unless it was at a discount of like 60-66% since its not ready but a reduced price it is okay and nicer then CS1 if you can deal with/ignore all the cons. Will update the review when the game gets better.

Pros:
-I really like the more fresh UI in CS2

-Buildings are more realistic now like the Nuclear Power Plant and Water Treatment Plants for example being an accurate size and having to use step down substations.

-Graphics are better then CS1 and can look really nice.

-The scale of the game feels more life like with how big some of the buildings are like the high-rise ones.

- Region pack system is a good idea for adding a variety of buildings around the world just wish they'd do transport with them as well as some don't.

-More options for road building

Cons:
-Frequent Crash to desktops

-Game freezes a lot or has weird bugs in gameplay.

-Loading can be slow to boot up the game at least with Region Packs.

-Colours are pretty bland and boring in the maps making a lot of the maps look the same, requiring mods to make it look nice. CS1 colours looked better TBH.

-Lack of transit options the game is pretty "American" when it comes to road design and loving cars. CS1 had an amazing system with the mass transit DLC

-Lack of care from devs it's been like 2 years now and the game still doesn't feel ready it really only felt ready to me when I started using mods even then it still felt unpolished. Instead of fixing the game they are making DLCs which are pointless for the most part for example the golden gate bridge DLC is literally just that like why do I have to pay for that?

-Using "Paradox mods" and requiring a paradox account to get assets and mods like what happened to steam workshop which didn't have malware? I do like that it's a faster download and install with paradox mods and the UI is nicer then workshop and is more organzied but the requireing a Paradox account really kills it for me and the lack of malware control and moderation which workshop did better. If you fix all that then I'll remove this con, especially since it's a neat idea to let console players use mods (Though pc gaming is better)

- Needs more varity of transportation vechicles like how the trams are all the same and usually the same colour too.

-They still have the stupid paradox launcher from CS1 which does nothing other then launch the game it can be bypassed but it's pretty annoying that it's there anyways. Remove that and this con will be gone.

This game can be really fun and relaxing to just sit and build a bunch of citys! Sometimes things go wrong though but sometimes it's beautiful. This game is getting old now so if you are going to get it now you have to check out the workshop there's so many mods and assets that make the game like 10x better and make it usable in 2025. (Although the second game is out now I'm personally gonna hold off until mod support is better and the bugs have been ironed out and such) After all these years (Been playing since it came out pretty much) I still haven't left a review so here you go!

Lot's of work has gone into this game! It's basically a 1:1 recreation of the Orville! If only CBS didn't shutdown the Star Trek Enterprise one because they are missing out now!

This is game is amazing if you're a space lover! And just like to mess around or explore, it is heavy on your computer depending on graphics settings but it's totally worth it to crank it up in this game all the visuals are just incredible. While there's goal to the game currently I don't seem to mind it it's just something chilling to zoom out and see the vastness of space and just explore around or explore around with community created ships. This developer is truely awesome too I highly recommend to support them. Fun fact there's so many generated and real objects in the universe that no one person will ever "Beat" the game as it's impossible to explore every last planet and star so it's truely in a way a 1:1 scale of the universe in it's own right although obviously not accurate since there's literally no way to get HD data out there lol. Anyways I would recommend checking out this game if you love space! It probably has the best visuals of any space game out there.

An emotional rollercoaster that will tap into every emotion you have. This game is great, I highly recommended you skip tutorial's and just explore yourself to experience it. The story is really touching and the planets all have there own unique area to explore some better then others. The music is by far what it ties it all together and has gotten me hooked on the game. I highly recommend you try it and put a few hours into it. The game it self is therapy sometimes.

This is a must have add-on ether if your Canadian or just like Canadian trains this is for you its also highly detailed I have never see this much effort put into a add-on like this I thin its great.

Pros:
Very In depth Detailed.

Great engine sounds and start up sounds
Lots of freedom (I mean you can open up pretty much all the doors and windows)
Realistic TMCO's
Realistic Career scenarios for the Canadian Mountain Passes
IFC system with built-in IFD/SDIS screens
There are many more pros I'm just too lazy to list.
Cons:
You need at least a decent computer to use this add-on
64-bit Only
Pretty Big download size (but that's to be expected for this beautiful add-on)
Sometimes the sound glitch's out if you go from notch 8 right back to 1
Rating: 10/10 Best loco add-on.
