A lot of fun if you're a fan of the movies (specifically the first two).

Stay away if you're not a fan.

Not sure why people are complaining about it being a Stellaris reskin. They've never hid that.

So far, I am enjoying it. But it has some glaring problems that plague Star Trek games - mostly licensing. It supposedly starts in the TNG era, but you have only access to the Miranda class with no other TOS era ships available. Is this licensing? I don't know, but it feels like it. There are also some issues and holdovers from Stellaris that don't quite fit, I was hoping we could use starships for research purposes but we're still stuck with survey ships.

It's a good start if it gets further support and DLC, it'll eat your time up like Stellaris and the mission format is really interesting. You can take the Federation down a darker path if you so wish and it brings into play different events from the show you can react differently to and will play out differently.

When Solid State Scouter started playing made it worth the price.

Really enjoyable simulator if you like the movies, definitely a good licensed game, has a lot of the characters (with actor voices!) and great graphics. However, it does lack the depth that a lot of these management games have and isn't particularly hard. But it is fun. If you like these types of management games AND like Jurassic Park, it's a no brainer.

Terrible matchmaking and it isn't down to the amount of players.

If you loved RE2 or you're an RE fan, you will like this game. If you didn't love RE2, then maybe wait for a price drop. It is more of the same.

I don't think it is as good RE2, it is basically what RE3 was to RE2 back on the Playstation.

Pros

- Boss fights are great
- Environments are wonderful, I think the final area is much better than the original
- The new redesigned creatures are awesome
- Carlos sections are better
- The story and characters are largely faithful and improved upon from the original
- Good death scenes

Cons

- Recycled assets and animations
- I think the first act is too short and doesn't explore the City enough
- Too much cut content from the OG, no park, no gravedigger, no clock tower, no newspaper, no RPD with Jill.
- Just an overall less polished feel compared to RE2
- Nemesis was great, but apart from a brief chase, his encounters are mostly limited to boss arenas. I know it was scripted in the original, but he turned up smashing through windows and walls etc. In this he doesn't really do that more than once.

7/10, if you like RE and/or loved RE2, then it is a must buy. Otherwise I'd wait.

Way too many cutscenes. Way too much walking around the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ submarine.

All the new characters are ♥♥♥♥ while the original characters are sidelined or killed off.

When you do get to play, the gameplay and gunplay are no where near the original, the challenge and level design is unimaginative.

Bad bad bad bad bad game, avoid.

Refunded after an hour, lots of glitches, uninteresting combat, boring villain, buggy game.

Play Far Cry 3, if you don't like that then you won't like this.
