If you're a fan of the Darksiders series, it's definitely worth a play-through just for the story.
I started off on Apocalyptic difficulty and found this game more challenging than previous games when starting in that difficulty setting.

It's not a ground-breaking game, but it's good and probably what you're expecting if you're coming in from previous games.
