Drug Dealer Simulator 2: Fun Times in a Hot Mess
Imagine taking the gritty charm of the original game, mixing it with some tropical sunshine, and then setting it all on fire just to see what happens. It’s a wild, chaotic mess, but if you’ve got the right mindset, you might just find yourself laughing your way through this bizarre sequel.

Graphics and Atmosphere: Sunshine and Soggy Dreams

First impressions: the graphics are a mixed bag of sandy beaches and blurry textures. It’s like they tried to make paradise with a dollar store filter. Everything’s a bit blurry, and if you’re not careful, the constant rain might make you feel like you’re playing through a monsoon. But hey, the music is a total vibe, like Cypress Hill decided to throw a party in the Caribbean. It’s the one part of the game that really gets you in the mood to cause some mischief.

Gameplay: Messy but Hilarious Fun

The gameplay? Oh boy, where do I start? The new buyer and sales management system is like trying to organize a drug deal in a hurricane – chaotic, clunky, and kind of hilarious if you’re in the right mood. It’s not as fluid as we’d like, but once you get past the initial frustration, there’s a weird sense of satisfaction in just going with the flow and seeing what kind of trouble you can stir up.

Life and skills? Yeah, they’re a bit of a dumpster fire. The progression system is about as rewarding as a participation trophy, but honestly, that’s part of the charm. It’s less about becoming a drug lord and more about just screwing around and seeing what you can get away with. If you’re into that kind of low-stakes chaos, you’ll have a blast.

Interactions with Gangs: A Comedy of Errors

Dealing with the local gangs is like a bad comedy skit – you’ve got your choice between paying them off or throwing down in a fistfight. It’s absurd and completely lacking in strategy, but there’s a certain thrill in standing your ground and watching the chaos unfold. It’s like the game is daring you to take it seriously, but you know deep down it’s all just a bit of a joke.

Map and Environment: Lost and Loving It

The map is a sprawling mess that’s more of a chore to navigate than anything else, but if you’re in the right mindset, it’s kind of fun to just wander around and get lost. The tropical setting doesn’t quite have the same gritty charm as the original’s cityscape, but it’s a new playground to mess around in. Think of it as a digital vacation gone hilariously wrong.

Drug Management System: A Clusterf*ck of Chaos

Managing your drug empire in DDS2 is like juggling flaming coconuts – it’s a confusing, ridiculous mess, but there’s a twisted kind of fun in trying to make it work. The new system is a bit of a headache, but once you figure it out, you’ll find a strange satisfaction in seeing just how far you can push the game’s broken mechanics.

Vehicles: Useless but Entertaining

Vehicles in the game are about as useful as a screen door on a submarine, but they add a touch of comic relief. Driving around is more of a novelty than a necessity, and you’ll probably find yourself laughing at the absurdity of it all rather than actually relying on them for anything practical. It’s like they threw in boats just to see what would happen, and the result is a hilarious mess.

Conclusion: A Bumpy Ride Worth Taking

So, is Drug Dealer Simulator 2 worth your time? Despite its many flaws, there’s a strange charm to this sequel. It’s got a lot of rough edges, but there’s a quirky, chaotic fun in navigating the mayhem. If you enjoyed the first game and don’t mind a bit of a challenge, you’ll find enough here to keep you entertained. It’s not the paradise we hoped for, but it’s a wild ride worth taking.

Rating: 6.0/10 – A tropical disaster that’s fun if you’re here for the chaos and laughs.

Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist is all about creating and selling your masterpieces, so grab your brush and palette. But don't be fooled by the simple concept; there's more to this game than meets the eye. Keep reading to see if it’s worth your money.

Graphics as we know

Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist continues in the footsteps of its predecessor with hand-drawn graphics that are a visual feast. The artwork is vibrant, charming, and distinct, and each of the game's numerous characters is lovingly rendered with a distinct appearance and personality. The graphics contribute to the creation of a distinct, artistic atmosphere that perfectly complements the game's theme.

The start of it all

The beginning of the game is both beautiful and depressing, as you play as a struggling artist who has lost his muse. You must try to find your way back to your creative roots and regain your inspiration while dealing with life's various obstacles, such as being evicted at the start of the game. The beginning perfectly sets the tone for the game, drawing players in with its melancholy atmosphere.

The story

The plot of Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist is simple but effective. As a struggling artist, you must navigate an island teeming with critics, collectors, and other colorful characters, each with their own motivations and desires, while reclaiming your place in society. The plot isn't particularly complex, but it does a pretty good job.

where did I leave my brush?

The painting itself is the most important aspect of the game, and fortunately, it's a lot of fun and feels good and natural. Painting mechanics in the game are intuitive and simple to learn, but they also provide a lot of depth and complexity for players who want to master them. From portraits to landscapes to a naked man on fire, you can paint whatever you want, and each piece is unique and customizable.

Craigslist

One of the most difficult aspects of Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist is determining what sells and what does not. There appears to be some randomness at work, but it mostly makes sense in terms of who likes what. Each character has their own preferences, so if you want to sell to everyone, you must learn multiple styles. It's frustrating at times, but it's also a fun challenge that keeps you interested and invested in the game, although, as already said, it does seem random at times.

depth

Another fantastic aspect of the game is that each character on the island has their own little story, adding depth and richness to the game world. Whether it's a critic who despises all modern art or an anarchist who wants to see chaos, each character has their own motivations and desires, making each encounter feel unique and interesting.

Locked-Off

Parts of the island are locked off at the beginning of the game, but it doesn't feel forced since they add fun little challenges that get you excited for what's to come. As you progress, you'll unlock new areas and meet new characters, which helps keep the game fresh and interesting.

how it feels to be rich

The game can feel quite difficult at first, but it quickly becomes the easiest game ever, allowing you to sell each painting for $500 per piece for 2 minutes of work, making it extremely important that you limit yourself, which while obviously possible, still requires some self control and it would be nice if they had taken better care of the progression speed.

Conclusion

Finally, Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist is an excellent game that will appeal to anyone who appreciates art, creativity, and a good challenge. It's not perfect, and there are some frustrating moments, but it's a lot of fun to play. And it well deserves an 7.9 out of 10.

Today we'll be delving into the delightful world of Dice Kingdoms, a turn-based strategy game where resource collection is based on dice... Who doesn't love a boardgame on PC? I know I do, let’s take a look!

GRAPHICS

The game's graphics are simple yet made in a fashion that brings the world to life. The various buildings, ranging from a hospital that will save your kingdom from a plague to a defense tower that will try to fight of invaders, have all been lovingly crafted and are filled with charming details that help to immerse the player in the game world.

EASY TO LEARN

The game's mechanics are extremely simple to learn and understand, but that doesn't mean it lacks depth. To the contrary, winning the game requires careful strategic planning and forethought with where, when, and how you will place your buildings, growing quickly is not always the best option.

UNFAIR

One minor drawback of the game is that it can occasionally feel unfair or too luck-based. This is especially true later in the game, when players are at the mercy of the dice. While the game's randomness adds an exciting element of unpredictability, it can also be frustrating when the dice do not fall in your favor.

The game's reliance on luck can be both a blessing and a curse in terms of gameplay. While it keeps the game exciting and unpredictable, it can also lead to frustrating and unfair moments. However, this is a common feature in many chance-based games, and in this game it’s been really nicely incorporated

BUILDINGS

The game has a good selection of buildings to choose from, each with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. However, a few more options would be welcome in the future. Perhaps some new buildings that add to the game's complexity, or buildings that allow players to interact with one another in novel ways.

Having said that, the existing structures are well-designed and serve their purpose well. There's a building for every occasion, whether you're trying to build a sprawling kingdom that will win with a cutural victory or an army that will crush and outnumber all others. Furthermore, regardless of building choice, the game's charming visuals and satisfying gameplay make it a joy to play.

ADDICTIVE

Another great feature of Dice Kingdoms is its addictive core concep. It's simple to learn the rules and start playing right away, but the depth of strategy required to succeed keeps the game interesting in the long run. Because of the game's short rounds, it's ideal for playing in short bursts or during breaks.

MORE MODES?

Another area where the game could be improved is by expanding the game modes beyond the current island-based mode.

Adding more diverse game modes with different objectives or rule sets could help keep the game fresh and exciting, as would for example a team mode. Furthermore, while the game's current building selection is well-balanced, more diversity would be appreciated.

CONCLUSION

Overall, Dice Kingdoms is a fantastic game that is both accessible and deep. It's simple to learn and play, but winning requires strategic thinking and planning. While the game is still in early access and could benefit from some additional features and balancing, it is already fantastic as is. It's addictive, entertaining, and well-designed, earning it a 9.2 out of 10 rating.

The Last Starship is currently in Early Access on Steam but has already generated quite a bit of buzz with all the ambition the game is displaying, and I mean, how could it not be generating buzz with such universally praised devs behind it, but what is the current state of the game? Let’s check it out

BLUE PILL OR RED PILL?

Right away, The Last Starship provides you with a nice selection of options. You can select from five different starships with varying sizes and starting funds, giving you a high level of customization based on your skill level and preferred ship-building style. It's like going on your own adventure in space!

ARCADE MACHINE GRAPHICS MADE MODERN

The graphics are the first thing that catches your eye when you boot up The Last Starship. The visuals are simple yet stylish, and it's easy to see how the devs' previous hit game, Prison Architect, influenced them. I mean, who doesn't enjoy a game with a pixelated flair? It's similar to playing an old arcade game, but with a lot more options and better graphics.

UI

While the user interface is visually appealing and fits the game's theme, it is not the most informative or intuitive. It could definitely use a few tweaks to make it more user-friendly, as it is sometimes difficult to understand why something doesn't work, and it would be nice if the game added some tooltips throughout the UI.

THEY KNOW

Steam Workshop support from the get-go is an instant plus for The Last Starship. The developers recognize the value of community content; it's like having a built-in cheat code for those moments when you really don’t feel like building a ship yourself.

POTENTIAL BO- ROCKET

The Last Starship has a lot of potential that is just waiting to be realized. You can feel the ambition radiating from the game - this could easily become the best and most in-depth space game ever with this style, leaving titles like FTL in the dust.

However, it's a long way there, as the game right now is simply lacking content in many areas, as there isn't that much to do after a few hours of playing, the game doesn't constantly keep refreshing itself with new challenges or options, it's just a tad generic at the moment, and the hours quickly start feeling like mini groundhog days set in space.

PEW PEW IN OUTER SPACE

Combat is one area where the game falls short. Battles become predictable and repetitive when only three types of weapons (short, medium, and long-range) are available. It's like playing rock-paper-scissors, except you only have rocks and scissors, and the scissors are stuck in one of those plastic packages that you have to open with another scissor, yes, I know, odly specific, but it really does feel like that.

There is no strategy involved, or at least not enough. There is some excitement during the micromanaging, and coming out on top is nice, but you'll quickly feel like a crazy person in a straight jacket claiming to be Napoleon.

MINING

Mining and salvaging, two key game features, also fall short. These activities simply lack depth, and they become tedious quickly. It's like going to a job you despise, but instead of being paid, you have to pay to do it.

PIMP MY STARSHIP

Customizing your ship is enjoyable, but the game lacks variety. And if you start a few times, you'll quickly run out of options to make each ship feel unique enough, and the excitement of building your dream ship won't be as strong as it could be.

BUGSPRAY

The game is also buggy, and you may encounter some game-breaking issues that will crash you to your desktop; however, these are thankfully rather rare and do not occur frequently, and to be honest, the game is still very early in EA, so bugs are to be expected, and the devs appear to be very focused on fixing them as soon as possible.

WHY BOTHER

All of these drawbacks may make you wonder why you should bother with this game at all, especially since it costs 28.99 euros. It's the equivalent of paying the price of a full-fledged triple-A title for a game that's just getting started. But don't think of it as paying for the game as it currently exists. Consider it a small loan to the developers, who have a proven track record with previous games. They will create something amazing with the help and time of the community, at least, that’s what I and many others hope.

CONCLUSION FOR NOW

Overall, the game gets a 6.5 out of 10. The developers have a lot to work on, and the game isn't yet worth the price. However, it's worth keeping an eye on because it has a lot of potential and some nice moments. It's like a rocket that hasn't quite reached escape velocity but is on its way, and we here at NLM will be watching the game closely.

Phantom Brigade is a turn-based strategy game that has been making waves in the gaming community, especially among fans of games like XCOM as well as just among mech lovers.

It has received a lot of attention from genre fans due to its solid graphics, intuitive user interface, and solid gameplay. Is it, however, worth the hype? We'll look at the game's strengths and weaknesses in this review to help you decide.

MY EYES ARE SATISFIED.

Phantom Brigade's graphics are as satisfying and clean as a freshly ironed shirt, but they aren't going to knock your socks off.

The overall look of the game is functional and modern, and the mechs themselves are nicely detailed, for an RTS that is. It's nothing revolutionary, but that's also something you wouldn't expect from a rts.

NAVIGATION

One of the strengths of Phantom Brigade is its user interface, which is as intuitive as it gets.

The game is easy to navigate, and what buttons do what is easy enough to learn that a trained monkey could do it (not that we'd recommend that if you value the lives of your pilots, but you get the vibe) its the opposite from an eyesore.

LACKING

Unfortunately, Phantom Brigade suffers from a lack of mission variety and story. It's like Groundhog Day, but with mechs. You just keep moving around, claiming territories and fighting nearly identical battles.

The story is also a letdown, with little to get excited about. It's unfortunate that the game lags a little here, as it could have added a lot more depth and variety to the experience. You'll feel like you're trapped in a time loop, and not in a good way.

THE JENGA GAME

Phantom Brigade's gameplay is fantastic, but it does require a lot of guesswork at times. You'll put in a lot of time learning the game, but it'll still feel like a game of chance. Setting up an elaborate plan and watching it unfold piece by piece is entertaining, but it can also be frustrating when things don't go as planned. It's like playing Jenga: you carefully stack the pieces, but they can all fall down in an instant.

MY HEAD HURTS

Phantom Brigade is the ultimate game of micromanagement. It's similar to a puzzle game, but with guns and missiles instead of puzzle pieces. It can become very micromanagement-intensive, which will hurt your head a lot.

Especially since it can sometimes make fights too long to enjoy. You might find yourself playing for 30 minutes for only 1 minute of actual action. However, for micromanagement fans, it's a dream come true, so this isn't necessarily a negative; rather, it's a warning that this game isn't for everyone.

SMOOTH AS BUTTER OR ROUGH AS ROCKS

Phantom Brigade runs flawlessly on my PC, and I can enjoy the satisfying gameplay without interruption. However, other players have reported some performance issues, so keep some cooling fans nearby in case your pc turns into the core of the sun.

CUSTOMIZATION

Phantom Brigade's visual customization options for your mechs are a nice touch, but they don't quite hit the mark. It's like going clothes shopping while under the influence of every substance known to man; you just can't seem to get the color or design you're looking for. It's a shame because there's so much potential for making your mechs truly unique and personal.

MULTIPLE PLAY STYLES POSSIBLE

Phantom Brigade provides a wide range of choices for mech loadouts, and it's honestly overwhelming in the best way possible. You can customize your mech to your heart's content and play however you want with so many weapons to choose from.

CONCLUSION

Phantom Brigade is a solid turn-based strategy game with a distinct twist. For those who enjoy micromanaging, the graphics are pleasing, the user interface is simple, and the gameplay is enjoyable.

However, the lack of variety in missions and story can be disappointing, similar to receiving a toy you already own for Christmas. How

However, It's still a game worth playing, and with a little bit of tweaking and updating, it has the potential to be even better. Overall, I give Phantom Brigade a 7.8 out of 10 - it's a good game worth your time if you like the genre and blowing stuff up.

Deck 'Em! is a card game that doesn't try to be too complex, but rather offers a fun and easy-to-learn experience, but it does have some missed potential sadly; let’s talk about it.

CRISPY CLEAN LOOKS

The art is well-done, and while it doesn't break any new ground in terms of design, it's pleasing to the eye and doesn't dissapoint compared to other card games. Overall, there isn't much to say about the visuals, but they do the job.

A FUN GAME THAT LEAVES YOU WANTING MORE

The gameplay of Deck 'Em! is simple, but enjoyable. The mechanics are simple, and while luck is important, as it is in almost every card game, there is some strategy involved when it comes to blocking your opponent and timing your cards perfectly.

However, the game lacks depth, and once completed, there isn't much reason to continue playing. It's a shame because the core gameplay is genuinely enjoyable, but the game feels like a prequel to something much larger.

A QUICK AND EASY INTRODUCTION

The tutorial is short, but that's because there's not much to learn about the game. It's not a difficult game to learn, and that's part of its appeal. It's a game that you can pick up and play quickly, and you'll be a "expert" of all the mechanics within an hour.

PRICE POINT

It's a reasonably priced game at just over $2.50, and it's appropriately so. It's a game on par with many paid mobile games, albeit a good one; it's logical that it would be around the same price point, and selling for more would simply not have worked.

MISSED POTENTIAL

Deck 'Em! has a lot of potential, but it falls short of its full potential. The game could have been a great card game with a bit more variety in the cards and opponents, as well as a bit of a story. It's unfortunate that it's so small and feels like a missed opportunity; when you finish the game, you're left wondering "that's it?"

Like this entire game would be a great tutorial level to something bigger, and it's just a shame, because they could have made it so that you defeat opponents as you prepare to fight the champion, gradually increasing your odds, or something along those lines, because there is so much potential left in this game.

THE FINAL VERDICT

In conclusion, if you're looking for a quick and easy game to play in between doing other things, Deck 'Em! is a decent choice. If you're looking for something with more depth and variety, you'll be let down. It's a simple game that's fun for short bursts but leaves you wanting more. It could have been a great game with a little more content and depth, but as it stands, it's just okay. Overall, I would rate it 7.5 out of 10.

Have you always wondered how quickly the United States would implode if you were president?

Well, wonder no longer because I Am Your President is about to be released; but is it worth your money in these crazy times? Check out our review to find out.

YOU LOOK…. NOT BAD

Let's face it, graphics are important, but they're not everything. In the case of I Am Your President, the user interface is where it's at. So, let me keep this brief: the graphics are... fine. They won't make your eyes bleed, but they won't make you spam screenshots either. They're just good enough to get the job done for this kind of game.

BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER, BUT DAMN THAT UI DESERVES A CANDLELIGHT DINNER

The UI is like a well-organized political campaign - clear, concise, and clutter-free. It's easy on the eyes, so you won't need to squint through the sweat and tears of your election campaign.

There are no strangely contrasting colors to make you feel like you're staring into the sun, just a clean and simple interface that allows you to focus on the game.

As this game requires a lot of reading, it’s good to see that they got this point right.

I HATE THE OTHER GROUP

I Am Your President manages to tread the fine line between political satire and making no one feel like they're being thrown under the bus. With a slight bias toward Democrats, the game avoids alienating any particular political party.

Sure, there are some playful jabs at both sides, but it's all in good fun and intended for roleplay rather than outright offense.

When it comes to foreign policy, the game isn't afraid to mock countries like China and Russia in certain directions. But don't worry, this game isn't a full-on political satire, as the game can handle each situation in a semi-serious manner.

Furthermore, it all depends on your choices, so you can tailor your political agenda to your heart's content.

MY EYES HURT FROM READING

I Am Your President's writing is so thick that it could be your bodyguard and stop a bullet. The developers clearly did not skimp on the words, as there is enough written material to fill a small library. But don't worry, quality trumps quantity here. The writing is interesting, witty, and free of common grammatical errors.

The writing is well-balanced and well-crafted, from comedic to serious.

BYE BYE DEMOCRACY

The game's world politics are underwhelming and lackluster, like a politician's limp handshake. Sure, there are some ways to shake things up and influence the world, but it all seems rather pointless in the end. Oh no, Mexico has just become a dictatorship, but what effect will this have on America? Nearly zero. It's like watching paint dry, except it features some sparkles.

PINGPONG

Now, the gameplay is really quite enjoyable; there are enough options to keep you busy and paying attention during each turn, and time flies by pretty quickly; however, it does become quite repetitive after a while, especially when certain events repeat.

It plays like any text-focused political simulator does, it’s not revolutionizing but gives you a nice platform to roleplay to your desire.

SOMEONE CALL MY MOM

The difficulty curve in this game is comparable to climbing Mount Everest while blindfolded, with one hand tied behind your back, and with a knife stuck in between your ribs.

You'll have to work your way through a maze of challenges, obstacles, and crises that will make your head spin faster than a malfunctioning carnival ride.

It's a game that will put your fighting spirit, perseverance, and patience to the test, and you'll most likely fail more times than a parachuting elephant. But don't worry, my friend, because the sweet taste of victory is worth the bitter pill of defeat (It’s not), and once you've mastered this game, you'll feel like… A GO- nah you’ll feel like a person that spend way too much time behind their PC, still love the challenge though!

OH MY BEAUTY

The cutscenes in the game are *chefs kiss*. The art is excellent, and the voice acting is superb. They're so good, in fact, that I found myself wanting for more and was slightly disappointed by the small quantity of them.

CONCLUSION

Overall, I Am Your President is a satisfying political simulation experience with a well-designed user interface, engaging gameplay, and excellent writing.

The game strikes a balance between political satire and roleplaying while avoiding alienating any political party. The game's world politics, on the other hand, are mediocre, and the difficulty curve can be quite steep. Despite its flaws, I Am Your President is a worthwhile game to play.

With a rating of 7.8 out of 10, the game is definitely worth a try for any gamer looking for a political simulator.

Sons of the Forest is one of the most popular and talked about games on Steam right now, but what's the big deal? Is the game truly worth the 30 bucks its asking for this early in EA? Lets find out!

YOU SINGLE?

This game is a *chefs kiss* BEAUTY. The water looks so real you'll want to go for a swim in the ocean (don't because a shark might bite you), the lighting is straight-up amazing, and all the little details make the game so realistic that you might end up wondering if you're not just stuck in a trip in an actual forest.

ANTI BUG SPRAY

But, before you subject your pc and sanity to this game, there are a few things you should know.

The optimization is horrendous and might just set your computer on fire. Yes, you read that correctly; keep a fire extinguisher nearby, even on low.

Furthermore, the game has more bugs than a tropical rainforest. It's a jungle out there, from loot respawning every time you reload to sentient logs and energy not regenerating when you sleep. But don't worry, there are no huge game-breaking bugs, so you won't fall through the world, and some of the duplicate glitches are only relevant if you use them.

I WANT TO NUKE THIS ISLAND

This game's atmosphere is akin to a horror film on steroids. It's terrifying when it's pitch black outside and you hear cannibals leaping through the trees.

You'll be grateful for any light you can get given the way the lighting works with your weak flashlight and the moon. It's like navigating through a haunted forest, except instead of ghosts, you're up against Barry the cannibal and his tree-jumping friends that are out to kill you.

THEY ARE EVERYWHERE

These enemies are dynamic and full of surprises; they don't just sit around waiting for you to come to them. The cannibals will surround you and jump at you like they're auditioning for the Olympic high jump team, while the mutants eat bullets and Molotov cocktails like they are vodka shots on a Friday night. To take them down, you'll need to bring enough weapons to supply a small army and possibly some divine intervention

THERE GOES YA LEG

The combat in Sons of the Forest is satisfying. The fights are intense and provide a constant challenge and stream of entertainment. From dismembering cannibals and watching them fall to the ground screeching, to dodging monster attacks and setting them ablaze, it feels like a great upgrade from the original.

WHY THE END

The story is mysterious and keeps you on edge, it confuses you but in a good way, it makes you want more the whole time, and every note you come across just adds to the mystery factor, but that's mostly on the surface, as the ending feels really rushed and is underwhelming, to say the least.

I'm hoping that the developers will work some real magic into the story during Early Access, because it's currently pretty bad.

YOU AND ME

The multiplayer is enjoyable and functional. It's like playing your own twisted version of Survivor with your friends. Setting up the server is simple, as is joining; there are no unnecessary paths to navigate. And, to be honest, the other players' animations are quite nice.

LEGOS AND LOGS

This game's building system is similar to a Lego set for adults, and it's fantastic! It's unlike any other survival game and also unlike its predecessor; it's fresh and original, and I'm all for it, but be prepared to spend some serious time chopping down trees and carrying logs because there is no other way to transport your logs than to painstakingly carry them 2 by 2... or, well, there is one little help, which brings me to the next point.

KELVIN, MY LOVE

Having an AI teammate in the game is like having a personal butler who is always ready to serve you, even if he is slightly brain-damaged (both figuratively and literally) and forgets the task you gave him.

Kelvin is the ideal companion for all of your log-gathering and danger-alerting requirements. In multiplayer, however, you might as well leave him behind because you already have friends who are equally as dim-witted.

CONCLUSION

To summarize, Sons of the Forest is a game with enormous potential that is enjoyable even in its early access state. The stunning graphics, thrilling combat, one-of-a-kind building system, and terrifying enemies make it a must-play for survival fans.

The game, however, is not without flaws. The optimization issues and numerous bugs can make for a frustrating experience, and some players may be disappointed by the very incomplete feeling story. As a result, if these things are important to you, it may be best to wait until Sons of the Forest is more complete before purchasing it.

But, if you can look past these flaws and enjoy the game as it is right now, you'll have a great time. Despite its flaws, I give Sons of the Forest an 8.2 out of 10 and recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the original the forest and is looking for more.

Looking for a realistic tactical shooter that won't break the bank? Look no further than Operation: Harsh Doorstop, a free-to-play game with a lot of potential and... a scarcity of meat on the bones

So put on your helmet and body armor and prepare to enter the world of Operation: Harsh Doorstop.

WHY WOULD YOU??

First and foremost, the elephant in the room cannot be ignored: the game was released without an anti-cheat system. This is an unforgivable error for any multiplayer game, let alone a free-to-play shooter as that practically begs for cheaters to show up.

It's difficult to overstate how much this has influenced many people's first impressions of the game, including mine. While some players are willing to overlook this issue in order to enjoy the game, many have been turned off by the rampant cheating that has plagued the game since its release.

THEY ARE LISTENING

On the bright side, the developers are incredibly integrated with the community, which is fantastic to see. They pay attention to what people want and take their feedback seriously. It's clear that they're passionate about making the game the best it can be and are willing to put in the effort to do so, and they've already stated that they're working on an anti-cheat system and many other features, but still, WHY LEAVE OUT THE ANTI CHEAT OF ALL THINGS??

SHAME SHAME SHAME

However, it's a shame that it seems at times that the developers are keeping the game too barebones on purpose so that everything can be done with mods.

While it's great that the game is moddable, some features should be included by default rather than requiring modders to implement them. Because it makes it difficult for the game to retain players who are unwilling to go to the extra effort of finding and installing mods for the most basic of features.

OH LOOK A BIRD

Visually, the game looks pretty decent. It's not spectacular, but it's not bad for a free realistic shooter. The graphics are satisfactory and do the job well enough; the animations are eh... but I can look past that for now; personally, the lack of any good gore isn't my favorite, but I understand that's a personal preference.

BITCOIN MINER

The performance is quite bad at times, like horribly bad at times. While I haven't experienced any complete freezes or game crashes yet, my FPS has died quite a few times, and when you're in a large server with a lot of people or bots, the game runs like a slideshow that is setting my pc on fire, Optimization has clearly not been the main concern of the devs so far, which is a shame, especially given that it's free, so it'll attract a lot of players with lower end computers.

PEW PEW
The gunplay is where Operation: Harsh Doorstop really shines. It's pretty rewarding and remarkable for a free game. It's clear that the developers took this part very seriously. The guns feel realistic and play well, and the explosions cause some real damage. The sound design is also good. It's not the best, but it's still quite good. It definitely contributes to the immersion and makes the gunplay feel more intense.

CHATGTP

The game's AI can range from quite good to absolutely horrendous. You have great firefights with them at times, and they completely ignore you at others. This inconsistency can be frustrating at times, but it isn't a deal breaker because they can usually pose a real threat.

BORED

The game's general gameplay is where it falls short. It's incredibly basic, with few modes and important features missing. There simply isn't enough to do to entice players, which is unfortunate because it could mean that a large portion of the potential playerbase will be turned off before the game can even come close to reaching the developers' vision, as this game won't keep you coming back for hours on end, it's just not that exciting at the moment.

CONCLUSION

Overall, it's clear that Operation: Harsh Doorstop is a fantastic idea with enormous potential. Any realistic shooter fan would love a completely free and moddable squad and Arma-inspired game, and this game is such a breath of fresh air compared to the way the market is going.

However, the game's issues with cheating, performance, and content make it difficult to recommend it in its current state. While the developers' commitment to the community is admirable, and the game's concept is fantastic, it's clear that there is still a lot of work to be done before the game can truly reach its full potential. With that in mind, I'd give Operation: Harsh Doorstop a 5.0 out of 10. I'd love to scale it up to 5.5 and recommend it, but that's simply impossible without anti-cheat.
