It's just not very fun.

I could waste my time going into more detail, but I would only be echoing what others have elegantly listed (they're all true).
FPS games, especially competitive multiplayer, have always been my go-to. I've spent years playing them, and I'd dare say I'm pretty good at them too. I know what works and what doesn't work, and this game just 'feels' bad.

My biggest gripe with this game is the hit registration. It's awful.
Below 100m you should be able to hit someone by shooting directly at them, depending on the speed in which they're traveling. Even at that point you just re-arrange your aim very slightly left/right to match with the target.
Unfortunately this game doesn't work like that. If a person is 10-50 metres away, and running left/right, you have to shoot about 2-3 feet in-front of them to get a hit-reg.
This games the game completely unplayable for me, as I need to re-learn everything I've already learnt in muscle memory which works perfectly in other far superior FPS games on the market.
I have a feeling it is a server tech related issue, and the way devs have got high player counts on their server instances. A projectile calculation buffer? Juggling server/client latencies? Just a bad network layer config? What ever it is, it's terrible and should be fixed or removed.

I doubt I will be playing this again any time soon.
What an absolute waste of money. You can absolutely guarantee this will be the last full-price EA purchase I'll make, and likely the last Battlefield purchase.

Great game, played it from top to bottom and enjoyed every part of it.

Pros:
- Micromanaging a squad
- Tactical turn-based combat
- Wide variation of items
- Wide story with varying arcs and a large amount of choices.

Cons:
- Bugs. Singleplayer AND co-op gameplay... Especially co-op...
- Plays havoc with my antivirus software (Bitdefender)
- Lack of patches and updates for bugs and known problems.

Super fun FTP game.
Even though there features built into the game which are easier to do with paying, it certainly doesn't put you at a disadvantage as a free-player and it doesn't pressure you to pay IRL money. I feel the devs have been actually quite generous with their payment system, in comparison to other FTP games.

Many of the complaints come from the in-game stutter, this can be extremely annoying however there is a fix... PLUG IN A CONTROLLER. No, seriously, if you use a controller it magically fixes the stuttering.

Feels like System Shock and Deus Ex with a sprinkling of Bioshock atmosphere and art direction.
Easily game of the year in my book.

Fantastic atmosphere.
Grim, gritty, and dire storyline.
Feel what it is like to be a true road warrior.

Playing this game gave me more of a love and connection to the Mad Max universe.
