This is a soulless husk of a game that is packed from the moment you enter with an onslaught of dull cosmetic items and loot box cash-grabs. I see others commenting that if you ignore this, and just concentrate on the skating gameplay then its fine, I have to disagree.

The skating feels floaty, largely less satisfying and less responsive than the older titles, and compared to a game like Session (i'm aware the more Sim-like approach might not be everyones thing), is just poor.

All of the charm of the skate series, the chill ambience, the balance of goofiness and letting you get serious, a simple rags to riches story of gaining notoriety and collecting clips and photos along the way is absent, replaced instead with a constant stream of run-of-the-mill challenges to be completed across the cluttered and generally uninspiring map.

The annoying voiceover spouting nearly constant direction throughout your first hour in this game (regardless of if you state explicitly you are an experienced player), is a painful juxtaposition to the slick system of following the faint hint of music to be led to a prime skate spot, which was done so well in the first instalment, way back in 2007.

People will find interesting ways to utilise the flight physics and interesting challenges, and while I too enjoyed 30 minutes of flying around, gaining huge speed and performing a few ridiculous stunts, this grew old very quickly.

Good game to play with volume low and other things going on in the background, can make the games as long or short or easy/hard as possible which is nice.
For £2.50 i have now 100% it and am not really compelled for a second playthrough, it took 5 hours so im taking that at doubling what i put in for it so would reccomend

This game should be ranked a class A drug, it gets you addicted and ♥♥♥♥♥ up your life
