At first glance this seems like the next big thing. However after a few hours of gameplay, it quickly materializes as derivative AI slop. AI was clearly used in many of the development processes. It feels fast and loose, poorly QA'd, and somewhat cheap. i really really want to like this game. For the first hour I was genuinely engrossed and thought I had found my next "thing". But at the General's Shrine basement level (the first dungeon) I could see cracks in the hull. Alot of the textures and models seem AI generated and the enemy logistics is simply not on par with other 2025 games, leading me to believe that at least some of the coding was AI derived as well. This is all but confirmed when you encounter several AI NPCs that act as chatbots that you have to pass a conversation with to earn their favor. It seems like a shiny new use for AI and honestly it is a unique idea. But in practice it adds to the feeling that the game was made as a gacha mill. This brings me to my next big gripe. Looking at the store and at other reviews, the cosmetic purchases are ridiculously convoluted to obtain, requiring multiple currencies that total an astronomical real world amount. I get that a dev has to make money from a F2P game and from what I can see these are only cosmetics, but this is simply ridiculous. Not to mention the UI is all over the place. Menus upon menus and different shiny things to click on to make the notification dots go away all to obfuscate the lack of actual depth.
The IDEA, the framework of this game, is VERY solid. It's a good concept, and done differently, properly, over a couple of years without AI with a solid team of devs and a concrete price tag without the fremium gacha model (Maybe even $60 range) I would buy it. As it is now, I can't escape the feeling that this is held together by glue and tape and that if I spend much longer in the game I'm going to regret it.

I had forgot to mention earlier: I encountered a bug in the General's Shrine arena combatant roster and the subquest from the man sitting next to the rock that simply didn't make sense logistically. I had already fought each of the beginning 4 contestants before speaking to the man, then it acted like I hadn't been in any fights and asked me to fight each of them to size them up. Then I fought each of them again one by one and it only checked off 3, then after I went back to the man I was given the quest reward despite not checking off the 4th. Then that checklist stayed in my active quests until I fought the boss, then went back to the man, 4th contestant still unchecked, and it marked the quest as complete and cleared the list, despite already receiving the reward.

TL;DR: Don't be fooled. For the first hour I thought I found my next time sink that I would spent countless hours on. However that quickly faded as the game was quickly revealed to be held together by duct tape and glue. AI seems to have been used heavily in development and there's so many small details that just feel off. Gacha mechanics are astronomically priced (yes even though you don't need them to play). This EXACT same concept, made without AI and without the gacha model, could easily sell for $60. Until that happens, don't waste your time.

After playing for only half an hour, I'm hooked. This is how alchemy games should be. The no-rush atmosphere and the game mechanics meld well together. Best of all is the unique "potion map" that allows for innovative discovery of new potions and ways to perfect ones you've already done. Highly recommend and will update after I get more time in!

For a sequel to what was, at the time, a ten year old game, this greatly embraces its roots while completely redesigning every aspect of the actual gameplay. For it's time, great stealth, exploration, and hacking mechanics.
This was the branching point for the cyberpunk genre and an early example of "what could have been".

Honestly, if you can get this on sale, even through a legitimate key reseller, try it out. It's dirt cheap every other month. Don't buy at full price. But please, check this out to see what a limited budget did for a blockbuster idea.

Absolutely a worthy sequel to Human Revolution. Of course there's no substitute for the "first" in any series but this game does well in providing an outlet for those who vibed with HR, and to an extent the OG DX. Please, if you have any interest in the Cyberpunk genre try this out.
This game, like its most recent predecessor, does well in integrating stealth, a hacking mechanic, and a powerful story, into one package. The DLC missions are also worth your time but HERES THE DEAL: DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU'RE GETTING THE COMPLETE EDITION AND ON SALE. There is, in addition, a COMPLETELY TRASH mechanic in the failed microtransaction mechanic for a single-player game. If you get the additional weapon packs (I got mine with the Deluxe Upgrade on sale), you can only use them on one playthrough and to an extent a New Game+ save from that playthrough.

TL;DR: Buy on sale. Worth your time if only to see what ran so that Cyberpunk could crawl.

The best MGS game I have ever played, hands down.
However, very disappointed that I bought both the MGSV and MGS:GZ games and didn't get the definitive edition upgrades
like I did with Skyrim and the special edition
