In 2026 Terraria really feels like a game from a bygone era (it is, I guess).
Ten bucks when it came out, still ten bucks today. The game is still receiving updates. No DLC, no microtransactions, no battlepass. Multiplayer just works. Host the game from within the client or set up your own server in your living room. And there is a sizable modding community, although Terraria is one of the few games where I've never really looked into modding because the vanilla game is already so feature-rich.

Another update to this review: best-selling game of 2025, better reward the people that made it with mass-layoffs. Keep that in mind next time someone tells you to think of the developers when thinking about pirating a triple-A game.

Go ahead, pay EA 70 bucks to get the equivalent of a part-time job with this stupid grind. Nevermind the challenges that are straight-up broken and lock you out of the content you paid for. But I guess these tiktok-brained kids need a constant carrot on a stick in front of them, otherwise they get bored.
And then the thing this circus of a community cries about is the skins not being milsim-LARPy enough.
Where's that stupid fell-for-it-again award

Steam keeps suggesting I should revise my review because I've played a lot more since originally writing this and I think that's fair.
There is a very solid foundation here, potential for an amazing game (otherwise I wouldn't have played this so much). But Battlefield 6 also bundles up a lot of despicable things about triple-A games in 2025: Battlepasses, micro-transactions, pointless grind just to keep you playing for longer (because the more time you invest into a game, the likelier you are to spend more money on it).
At the same time they also made some game-design decisions that I find at least questionable, such as the quick respawns in smaller gamemodes like domination or tdm.

Finally, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 70€, if you really want it wait for it to go on sale. I should have done too.
And for the love of god, don't spend money on the microtransactions (not that there are any skins worth their pricetag)

I played this a couple months ago and had lots of fun. Just came back to it and spent five minutes in the queue only to be put in a lobby where I'm seemingly the only human player. That was on a Saturday afternoon in central europe.
And that was not a one-time occurrence.

It's a shame. :(

So I go to the steam page for Warzone. I start the download. It's 160 GB and takes me 3h to download.
The download finishes and I can finally play, right? Nope, I have to create an activision account first because it's 2025 and every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game requires you to have a separate account.
But now I can at least play, right? Nope. It says Warzone is not installed.
Then what the ♥♥♥♥ where those 160 GB I just downloaded? Is Activision using my PC to mine bitcoin now?

Moral of the story: read the reviews before downloading, even (or maybe especially) for f2p AAA titles

I received this game as a gift while it was on sale (8.49€) but it wasn't even worth that.
The building phase lags.
There's connection issues, being kicked back to the main menu after every level as well as not being able to connect to PlayFab. The solution to the latter seems to be to connect over and over again and hoping for the best.
The game crashed a lot while trying to sell multiple items (and you'll have to sell a lot of items because most of them are not even worth looking at)
The inventory is a pain to navigate.
And the final nail in the coffin that made me uninstall and write this review was when around level 18 my max hp randomly dropped to 300hp (which is less than what I had at level 1) for reasons unknown to me.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this, especially for the price of 24.99€

My story with Rainbow Six Siege starts with a story about Battlefield V:
BFV received numerous changes that made me grow more and more tired of the game. Removal of gamemodes, certain changes to tdm maps and the final nail in the coffin: 2019's TTK changes that nobody asked for. With just a single patch dice managed to completely kill BFV for me, a game that I considered my favorite FPS at the time.

So I decided to quit and try something new. Initially I just played Siege as a joke like... Dice makes the ttk slow as ♥♥♥♥? Fine, I'll switch to a game where, due to oneshot headshots, ttk is basically non-existent.
But I would soon start loving R6S.
Two years later and it is now my most played game on steam.
I had and still have a lot of fun playing it, found new friends through it and it is the first esport title that actually made me want to watch professional matches.

Not gonna lie, you need quite the frustration tolerance, especially when you are new to the game but if you are willing to learn then it can be great fun.
If not... I dunno, then R6S probably just isn't for you

I was quite surprised how good this game was. The artstyle is very simplistic (but really cute). The gameplay is very simplistic. This game only costs 0.99€ (I got it from some 1$ bundle with like 20 other games) but is so much better than some 10€ titles on steam

ok, let's be honest: it's another minecraft clone.

I think this game relies heavily on Multiplayer but I've primarily played alone in a private world because... ugh other people -.-
To me, this game isn't much more than a minecraft clone (it's actually more than that) but that's ok. That's what I expected and what I wanted. The artstyle, models and animations got their own charm, a charm I haven't seen in minecraft. I wanna cuddle those pigsies <3

So, yeah. I recommend it. It's fun.


EDIT: forgot this one. In contrast to minecraft, it runs on a potato with a considerable framerate

Female Characters? Check
Puns? Check

just buy it already. or at least put it on your wishlist.
The chambers look awesome and the bossfights are fun
there are tons of different guns. some of them are as iconic as the ak-47, others are... different (looking at you, lower case r)

this game still costs 40€ after 7 years... (well I got it for 10)
what do you pay for?
singleplayer mode. multiplayer is dead. I checked the servers today and there were a couple of servers with a ping below 120ms. On of them even had some people playing on it. It was a french zombie survival server.

so... multiplayer is dead. even more dead than mw2 and mw3 (didn't think that was possible)
you only buy this game for story mode, survival mode or to play Zork in the main menu :P

the gameplay and guns feel smooth. Too bad there is nobody I could shoot at.
