A game about a cat (?) wanting to be a superhero and going through all sorts of simulations to hone her skills. She's not very confident as the "only thing" she can do is Copy other abilities. Little does she know it came in handy in a lot of situations.

- Boki's humorous speech will put a smile on your face
- The soundtrack is well coordinated with stages and character condition (no annoying health low beeping sound)
- The multitude of different combinations you can get by copying up to 3 abilities will make you want more of it
- The gameplay doesn't feel punishing at all; you eventually learn patterns and adapt to it (except the first stage of hard mode...)
- There's literally a "Hard Mode" version of every stage you can unlock by clearing the game, not only making them harder with different layout and enemies, but also reliving the story as if it was a continuation of Boki's story
- 2 characters to play with, double the amount of different combinations of weapons you can get
- The endless mode will get you on the right track to challenge bosses with random abilities
- Snazzy comments by Savant every time you leave the game (my personal favorite)

In all seriousness, it was a fun experience (as of writing this, cleared normal mode and half of hard mode) and I do plan on trying to 100% this one. Definately worth my time. I just got into the community recently, but I can already say thanks to Azure and Raibys for achieving this gem of a game.

Game mechanic wise, this DLC is useless.

This basically add voice acting of the 4 starter characters as announcers (instead of the default Type A-B-C-D voices) and some other addons to the game when playing these characters.

Why would you get this then?

This is a decent way to support a great Indie team.
If voices get enough attention, we could eventually get dedicated voice actors for the whole cast, which would be a nice addition to the OJverse.

Bought this for my grand-father as well.
Now he thinks I can make magic.

This review assumes you know the basics of this game: JRPG, turn-based with movements, a lot of dialogues, grinding, a heavy load of female characters, video game industry references, minor fanservice, and such.

To serie newcomers:
The game does give some background info on important characters so you don't feel lost too much.

To long term fans:
IF scored a lot of points with this one. The addition of "the Sha gang", as I call them, made the references to the video game industry even stronger by adding major companies.

The game was split into 3 different arcs, or sub-stories, each with different leading characters. In the end, it all makes sense (somehow...). You can make use of 'scouts' (minor reference characters) to boost/lower stats/exp/money for stages. They can also find money or items for you (good piece of change compared to Stella's Dungeon). The overall map has routes which you need to build in order to move from one area to the other, adding random mob encounters on the way. You can invest money in industry/commerce/public relations to unlock new things in every major city/town.

1080p graphics to better enjoy Nep trolls and clearer Uni panty shots.
Features the original cast of 4 godesses, the 4 Candidates and IF and Compa, with the addition of the 4 members of Gold Third and Uzume. Add in 5 DLC characters (Umio, Nepugya, Million Arthur, God Eater, Notroplus) and you've got a cast of 20 characters (let's hope I'm not forgetting anyone...)

Definately recommended to anyone who's a fan of JRPG or anyone who likes to see references to other games.
If you can't stand the boob jokes from time to time, just skip Vert's route and stick to Blanc's.

Remember that Mario Party game where the CPU would use Boo to steal your stars at the end, and steal the win in front of your face?
Or maybe that Mario Kart race where you stayed in 1st place all along and in the last few seconds, you step on a banana and finish last?

Well, you might as well expect that from this game too.

It gets pretty addictive once you get in the game and get to know the abilities of each characters and the card effects.
When you'll first get into a game, you will most likely go 'WTF is going on', but you'll catch up fast. You might get 90% of the basic gameplay strategy within the first 1-2 hours of gameplay.

Best played with friends (or online with strangers). These CPU... Rigged dice...

Gameplay elements from the original Metroid, coupled with bullet hell for boss fights and a cute anime theme based storyline. That's what I'd tell to someone who asked me what this game is about.

Also, you play as a bunnygirl (female protagonist bonus points!)
