“And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden [i.e., Paradise] as wide as the
heavens and earth, prepared for the Godwary who spend [in the cause of Allah] during ease
and hardship and who suppress their anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers
of good.” - Surah Ali ‘Imran 3:133-134

In the darkness of the dungeon cell,
Chains clung to his ankles,
Yet his spirit soared above,
Like Husayn in Karbala.

He bore the weight of oppression,
Silently, with steadfast faith,
His tears watered the seeds of patience,
Like Husayn in Karbala.

No sword struck his noble head,
But the cruelty was the same,
A martyr without a battlefield,
Like Husayn in Karbala.

O Musa Al Kadhim, imprisoned Imam,
Your cell became a sanctuary,
Your supplications pierced the heavens,
Like Husayn in Karbala.

The tyrant thought to silence you,
But your legacy speaks louder,
A beacon for the oppressed,
Like Husayn in Karbala.



O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad, with the best of Your blessings that You have ever sent upon any of Your creation. And bless them as You are worthy of it. And send upon them the most excellent of Your salutations, and bestow upon them the most perfect of Your blessings. And peace be upon him and upon them, and Your mercy and Your blessings.

Ya Imam Al-Husayn,
Peace be upon you, O Aba Abdillah, peace from me be upon you forever, for as long as I live and as long as day and night remain. And may Allah never make this the last of my visits to you.

Ya Mahdi,
Peace be upon you, O son of the one whom Allah had mercy on, who inherited prophethood, was granted wisdom, endured severe trials, and swallowed bitter griefs. On his cheeks are traces of tears, and on his face the paths of sorrow are visible. He is the one who cries for every tear we shed...
