Recettear is the perfect mix of dungeon loot hunting adventure and shop sim where, among many other things, you haggle with old ladies for their precious family heirloom ham sandwiches. The challenge level at the end gets pretty tough (which makes victory even more satisfying) but eventually you'll be buying low and selling high in your very own vending machine powered automat.

If I have one criticism it's that all the time spent trying to make money to avoid losing the shop by the end detracts greatly from uncovering story elements that are found by wandering around the town and to dungeons at certain times. You'll either need a guide (there weren't any when I played through) or just settle with not unlocking all that much by the end of your first play through. Building, managing and expanding your shop however is highly fulfilling --if you happen to be into that sort of thing.
