I want to take a moment to offer you my sincerest apologies for my inappropriate and disrespectful comments during our recent game of Beast Soccer in Party Animals. In the heat of the moment, I made a thoughtless remark by telling you to “git gud” and questioning how you missed a goal on an open net. Looking back, I realize how unnecessary and insulting that comment was, and I deeply regret having said it.

While we were on opposing teams, I let my competitiveness get the better of me and failed to maintain good sportsmanship. It’s one thing to enjoy some friendly rivalry, but my comment crossed the line and detracted from the fun and lightheartedness that the game is supposed to be about. We were all there to have a good time, not to be criticized or mocked, and I understand now that my words were hurtful.

The fact that my teammates and I were dressed as gophers in top hats — which, let’s be honest, was absolutely hilarious — should have reminded me that Party Animals is about the joy of absurdity and having fun with friends, not about taking things too seriously. Instead of embracing the silliness of the moment, I let my competitiveness drive me to say something that was mean-spirited. I understand how frustrating it can be to have someone mock your gameplay, especially in a game that’s meant to be lighthearted and fun.

Looking back, I should have just kept my mouth shut or even just laughed off the situation, instead of turning it into an opportunity to criticize you. Missing a goal is something that happens to everyone, and I realize now that my comment didn’t add anything positive to the experience for either of us. Instead of making fun of the moment, I should have appreciated the ridiculousness of it all. After all, we were gophers in top hats playing soccer — nothing about that should have been taken too seriously!

I recognize that I overreacted and let my frustration get the better of me. Please know that I didn’t mean to insult you or ruin the fun of the match. I appreciate good competition and fully understand that my comment was out of line and hurtful. Moving forward, I’ll be more mindful of how my words can impact others, especially during games that are meant to be enjoyed with a sense of humor and camaraderie, even if we’re on opposite teams.

Again, I sincerely apologize for the way I acted and for any frustration or offense my words caused. I hope that we can move past this and continue to enjoy playing Party Animals without any hard feelings. P.S. He was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at the game and missed a goal on NO ONE. NO ONE was guarding the goal and bro COMPLETELY MISSED!!! HOW???? AND HE DID IT SEVERAL TIMES. GARBAGE IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT FOR THAT PERFORMANCE.
