Really short puzzle-platformer. Not worth full price, but I got mine on sale. I went in blind and completed it in under 3 hours. There's other stuff to do but they don't feel like complete game modes. The main being the challenge mode and the multiplayer (yes you heard that right). Challenge mode is a pain since it limits your jumps and you're constantly trying to perfectly orientate some slice of cheese. Multiplayer is uhh. . . really something.

Anyway, I've got some gripes with the game. This game is going for the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ puzzle/lab-rat vibe that Portal goes for but unlike the portal gun, the perspective mechanics is routinely frustrating to deal with. Portal gives you the feeling that you're constantly finding your own solutions and makes you more comfortable with the portal gun as the game progresses. In contrast Superliminal will randomly change what your "gun" does midway through the game and presents either trivial easy puzzles or puzzles that require you to be in the same headspace as the designer. It doesn't help that there's only one or two interactable objects in the game at anytime.

If you're looking for another Portal-like, I think Antichamber does a much better job. It's longer, more fun, and more rewarding. Albeit it has considerably less voice acting and story. Nonetheless, I think Superliminal is a decent game. So if you're really craving a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ puzzle-platformer, it'll satisfy you to some degree. Just get it on sale.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME FOR CO-OP!

All the solutions for Co-Op are defunct. Even LAN Co-Op does not work. I spent about half a day getting this waste of time to run. Forutunately it was only a dollar twenty-five on steam so I'm not out anything except my sanity. TBH it's not even worth the time to get a refund. Single player looks okay so maybe I'll get to it someday. If anyone has a working solution for LAN Co-Op, I'll change my review.
