I honestly liked the Original Star "Trek" more, because it dealt-better - possibly Best but that's why I'm watching this series of series (in order of their chronology, which is apparently very unusual - which happens first - to last) - with issues of humans as on-Earth and has /had the best social commentary and en-visioning of a truly better future. It's Not ABOUT the "hi(gh)-'tech'. ," it's just about the interactions between - all kinds of - people. That was the original - Original - appeal, and ultimately the Only way Star "Trek" is any-Different from any other "sci-fi," "space opera" especially, not-even S F series.

It's not even all the "formal 'roles'" /"constructions" /systems of-whatever, it's rather the Consensus, on a Future that is mutually agreed-upon. So as much as I like this, I'd Rate the Original higher, if I could, as it was the parent-series, before - for example - "The Next Generation" (after "Star Trek: Enterprise," I saw in-betweem, which was pretty-good). Now if it ihad been Black & White.. but that's who, er how we have Other "versions of the 'future'," for... a la "Dr. Strangelove," being most-applicable, "now."
