Can’t think one step ahead (which is sometimes understandable if you live day by day)
Pays no attention to its surroundings
Selfish
Lacks indepence by depending on god, family, or both (the god will provide mentality)
Food is not very good but Filipinos believe it’s the best in the world
Sense of humour is not great, it’s based on slapstick and word play. This can be funny of course but it lacks depth.
Even when living abroad, often they only hang out with other Filipinos
Don’t expect a drink on the house even when you stay at a resort of PHP24,000 a night. I can extrapolate on that but it’s just extrapolation, nothing more.
Etc.
Being late (I find this very disrespectful)
Not being able to follow simple rules
Not always honest
Way too sensitive and emotional
Non-confrontational. This is not always a bad thing but in the work place I need people to step up.
Not very creative
Utter lack of critical thinking (this is not a stereotype alas but just true)
Bloody religious but hypocritical as hell
Mob mentality
Nationalistic as hell. No. 2 in the world after China and it’s annoying.
They’re incompetent and often lazy
Gossip mongerers
Noisy. At least in Manila. People are noisy and this city suffers from severe noise pollution
