So far I adore this game. The mechanics are simple to understand, but still make you feel smart when you figure out how to logic your way through situations that would normally be guesses, using those more interesting mechanics. The separated islands make the game feel unique and varied enough to keep me interested, although given the amount of content, I cannot guarantee that will last indefinitely with only the mechanics that exist currently.
My only real complaint isn't even a serious one, moreso a logic based one involved the islands. There are times when you can meta-game the system, for instance when you have a hex with 3 that barely touches another island that you have yet to get to, you can almost always assume that it will be your main path to get there, thus not needing to logic your way to that conclusion. This is especially true with smaller islands. Like I said, not a massive complaint, and could even prove to be false later on, with false idols of touches to other islands that you have to wait to get to another way.
But yes, this is a massive, beautiful game, and given that it's free, by all means if you're a fan of minesweeper, or puzzle games in general, download it.
