Coming here to show support to the team. Most of the negative reviews are mad about a like 6 or 7 dollar price hike post inflation, which I think is really sad considering how good the DLC is.

For those who are curious if they should get it
DO IT!! It's awesome, and even though its not perfect, its still super fun and you'll enjoy it, especially if you enjoyed DOOM 2016. I would give it a 92/100 right now, and recommend buying the regular version first and seeing if you like it, and then buying the season pass (I regret not getting the super deluxe version with the doom helmet that thing looks awesome). Some people have some tough criticism, but overall I personally think they're criticism while somewhat true is exaggerated. So much of the game is really fun and you can sort of ignore all of the points they're making. That being said, I still see some improvements and hope that ID see's this and takes some of it into consideration.

It's a great game but not perfect
Now in my personal opinion, this game does need some balancing just to make it better. ID did a great job with developing a strong game with parts for everyone. But some parts I feel could be improved. Ill make make a list of things I feel. NOTE: I am going to be spoiling some demons in the game but I wont spoil any of the actual story, be warned.

The Marauder
Ok ok ok, I know there is a lot of controversy behind the Marauder right now, half of people are saying it's too hard and the other half are saying its a good way to make the game more challenging by disrupting the gameplay loop. I see both sides, what I would do in my personal opinion are 2 things.
1) Make the shield temporarily destroyable: This would make more weapons useful against the marauder, but once his shield is destroyed, he could like the Gladiator go into a more offensive mode that forces the played to play a bit more defensively. This just balances how long the fight will take, either the player dies faster or kill the marauder sooner
2) Have the dog drop ammo OR health: A lot of people complain about how the dog really isn't necessary. And I agree as it seems to be a random attack plus what the marauder can already do. But people are also complaining about needing extra ammo/health when fighting the marauder, so they put basic enemies around, So what I would do is make it so the dog drops ammo or health, which provides the player a reward for killing it, but I would also lessen the spawning of small demons when there is a marauder so the player still needs to manage resources.

Ammo
This is also incredibly controversial, with some saying the game is becoming too resource focused and others saying its adding a level of strategy. In my personal opinion, I would make it easier to get chainsaw ammo, now I know what your thinking. ThE GamE AlReaDy ProVidEs YoU WitH ReCharGeabLe AmMo, yeah yeah I know, but that only refills to 1, if you say made it automatically refill to 3 and made it so larger demons dropped more ammo and maybe even health (up to the arachatron/hell knight level of demon), players would have a larger insentive to attack a larger demon with the chainsaw because they would want the stronger reward, and because it's easier to get fuel players would do it more often. I would also slightly lower the range of the chainsaw activation, so players need to get close to say a hell knight, which as many of you know is a very risky choice.

Runes
I might get some hate for this but right now runes kinda suck in the game. Not the fact that they are useless or what they do, but the fact that you have access to whatever ones you want when you find a rune. I got the three runes I wanted within the first 3 levels of the game I think and basically never cared about runes again after that other than trying to complete challenges. Make it harder to get runes either by unlocking a certain one at a time and making the player choose from what they have access to or by adding extra challenges to get them.

Cooler Bosses
Ok, I'm not gonna ask ID to make a new boss for the main vanilla game with no DLC, but maybe they could make some cooler entrances for the super-heavy demons. The Archville for example is one of the coolest demons in doom in my opinion, and idk if my game glitched but I didn't even get an introduction for them. They just appeared. If you added some cutscenes introducing the super heavies like the doom-hunter and the marauder, that would be so cool and keep players engaged and know what they're fighting. I also heard from somewhere that the tips they give before a bossfight shouldnt be there. I sort of agree, they should only be on for the easy difficulty or maybe an option before you start the game so players who want to figure out the bosses can while others still can discover it on their own.

More Master levels
I know that you guys at ID are gonna do this one and I'm really excited for it. I feel like master levels add a replayability in a story based shooter that I haven't felt in a long time. I really enjoy single player and the one master level I have is so much fun and makes the game more replayable. PLEASE continue these and add more content! This game gets so satifying and left me empty inside when I finished it craving more.

Keep up what you're doing
Now I know it sounds like I have a lot of problems with the game, but in actuality I really don't. I love the dashing, platforming, amount of glory kills, the graphics and so much more. What ID has done with the Doomslayer is seriously a beautiful thing in all the gore of DOOM. I really felt powerful and connected to the slayer and had a few solid laughs in the game YOu CaNt jUst sHoOt A HoLe IntO The SurFacE Of MarS, and I look forward to seeing what you guys do. For my fellow reviewers and people who have played the game, leave a comment on this thread and maybe add some more suggestions for ID, and ID if you're listening somehow, great job, these are nitpicks but if you fix them I'm sure you guys could win GOTY, thank you all for listening to my review!

Terrible. I wanted to play with 1 friend but it wouldnt let me! there wasa no easy way to make a server and invite a friend. Sensitivity is waay to high with no easy way to fix it. And whenever i did single player it just kept not spawning the AI. 3/10
