Hey all,

Just want to give a big shoutout to our newest zG team members. We had a great night on the server and thanks to, believe it or not, a huge push from GOAT, we were lucky enough to bring on 6 more. That literally gave us a 10% increase in membership.

Please welcome:

Slinfear, SilverHawkeJ, Zelonox, GOAT, Acid, and XLKreamy.

Please note that all these players are either leaving their existing clans (312, GUR6) or possibly acting in a hybrid capacity (SE) as they join up with zG. Please welcome them and give a big thanks to GOAT for his support in building up this group and overall, helping strength the community within AAPG.

Thursday Night Scrimmages/Exhibitions?

I've talked to some of you about this idea but I'm looking for input from the clan base. Basically, a weekly or bi-weekly exhibition match/scrim/whatver you want to call it - to help generate more traffic for the server and interest in zG. Overall point of this is to allow players to show their best and be recognized for it.

One of the more controversial parts of this is my idea to really open this up to everyone...and I mean everyone. Anyone could come in and show their skill which will bring in players we consider known assholes or suspected hackers. I figured that over time and through watching them play in a more competitive setting, we would weed out the ones who need to be kicked/banned and the top soldiers would rise out of that. Sometimes controversy is the best way to generate interest (imagine players from all over, including sH, hd, MAGA, BOW, 312, USA, SE, 3rdID, as well as the independents going head to head).

Incentives: why bother competing? 1. Bragging rights and 2. top players/teams get their names on the scrolling server message (for one or two weeks).

Timeframe: Thursday nights, 7 PM PST - 9 PM. (seems reasonable enough, even for our east coast friends). Thursday nights seem to be busy on our server (you'd think Friday night but it seems like a lot of players have a 'life' and aren't on).

Server: - still figuring out the kinks here so i'm open to suggestions - once the teams are filled, server could be locked by game password.

Admins: would need a few admins to help faciliate this. could be done in shifts so no one single admin is having to stay on during the entire exhibition. They would have to be watching for hackers and muting/kicking/possibly banning as needed to ensure the matches are clean and enjoyable. take screnshots at the end of a 11-13 round game to record winners/teams.

Teams: instead of simply ALPHA or BRAVO, we could designate sides with other names like shirts/skins, red/blue, fucking team jacob/team edward, i don't care- whatever makes it more interesting and stands out. Obviously clans will want to stick together but there may only be a few on one side so it'll be a combination of clan/non-clan players. Perhaps over time we'll have enough to do full clan v clan matches.

Marketing: start displaying the time/dates on our scrolling server message. maybe some ambitious zG member who has rudimentary know-how on photoshop or illustrator could whip up a flyer/banner for us (example: https://www.cineplex.com/Movie/worldgamingcounterstrike-global-offensivecanadian-championships-regional-finals). we could send out a link to this flyer online via PMs and posting on forums.

zG recruiting for Officers made easier!

Previously when a zG Officer recruited a member, they had to forward the information to me, so I can add them to the ACI Clan Roster database.

Now thanks to ACI and their efforts, as long as they are in the steam group, the clan tags are already authorized.

As a recruit no longer need to bother me about recruiting. Just make sure their back grounds are clean.
