hello all. I have a favorite mod for LW2. I was wondering if anyone can create the mod MORE TECHNICAL ROCKETS MADE BY mACHINA he say in his page as long as he gets the credit he doesnt mind. more maybe ask him. dont know if hes in this group or not :)

Hi all,

I installed the MOD WOTC: Second Wave Plus from Team Dragonpunk in Steam Workshop.

Now i checked the XComSecondWavePlus_Settings.ini in the MOD directory an i am asking myself what exactly Stat_Cost=X means and what effects is would have if i change the value from Stat_Cost=2 to Stat_Cost=7?

Any ideas?

+NCEStatModifiers=(StatType=eStat_HP , Stat_Range=1 , Stat_Min=-1 , Stat_Cost=5 ) ; Stat Range- rolls between +range and -range, where the minimum stat range is Stat_Min1
+NCEStatModifiers=(StatType=eStat_Offense, Stat_Range= 10, Stat_Min=-10 , Stat_Cost=2 ) ; This is a point system, each stat has a point value and it tries to balance it
+NCEStatModifiers=(StatType=eStat_Defense , Stat_Range= 5, Stat_Min=-5 , Stat_Cost= 4) ; Tolerance is the range of total "score" that will be applied to the unit
+NCEStatModifiers=(StatType=eStat_Mobility , Stat_Range= 2, Stat_Min=-2, Stat_Cost=8) ; TotalPoints is the base "score" aimed for with units.

correction: "zip mode" does not disable Close-Up Reveal Animations, "Show Action Cam" does, sry

Are there any modders out there who would be willing to communicate directly with me regarding the basics of modding and where the best place to start is? I would appreciate any help you have to offer, but fair warning: right now I know next to nothing and will probably pester you with ignorant questions for... a while...

there are mods that disable all reveal animations ("zip mode" in options also does it), but i think a mod that ONLY disables The Lost has to be handmade

Hi, I was thinking about if maybe we could cooperate in writing some basic documentation to the scripting part, detailing the purpose and functions of the game's classes and architecture, as the default tutorials barely tell anything about it and the header comments are not enough to see the bigger picture how the game is made up.
It would speed up the process of learning the architecture of the game and probably result in better scripts as people could identify the correct parts of the code they need to override, extend or derive from, instead of having to sift through other mods sometimes, or making hacks to completely different classes for lack of knowledge of the functions / classes they should use.
How big an audience would we have, for something like this after ~7 months?
What are your opinions about this?

Hey guys, I just join the group. I begin with the UEd and I woud need a few informations that I don't find in Guides or net tutos in order to make my first mod.
So I will add a Mod assistance request, try my luck here first and will try again on Nexus if I can't get any help.
Glad to see a group like this.

Anyone knows what PsiWitch really is? I'm guessing it's the Avatar since I didn't find any data regarding Avatar, yet. Something like the Codex is named Cyberus in the database.
