I need help/recommendations
Hi, my name is "Sir Francus IV", and im a 17 years old gamer and student from Chile, i have been playing games since i have memory. For me, a videogame is a way to make people happy, to tell a unique story that feel like if you are in it, and live the adventures of the characters in first person.
Im currently in my last year of school (in USA its high school, i think) and im just one step closer to get into university, and im looking forward to a career that will make me into the videogames industry, but the problem is, i dont know exactly what career should i study.
in the videogame industry, my dream is to work in the area where i can make the game "magical" and make the message delivered by the game to be clear as possible, and in the furure, to tell my own story.
im between 2 careers quite different from each other, one is computer engineering ( basically programming), im very good at maths, and im really interested in how programming works, and is the basis for the operation of a game, BUT I feel like that its not my job in the production of a game, or to explain it better, is not straight related to what I want.
in second place. I have in mind Graphic Design, i have a big immagination (really big for my age tho), and i would be very excited to designing all the enviroment of the game, but, im really bad at drawning, y just try and try, but i dont have the talent of art in my hands, and makes me feel so sad.
so, my question is, what career should i study? any recommendations, even the smallest one would help me a lot, in Chile there are very few careers related to the videogame production, and im looking forward to get all i need to be a great videogame programmer/designer, even if i have to travel to another country.
Thanks for Reading!

I'd suggest researching as many game schools as possible, locate the information necessary to make a good decision. Does the college have a low dropout rate, how many of the graduates enter the game industry, what standards do they teach, are they by the book or do they encourage creativity, do they understand the modern game industry well enough to give you a head start in your goal? There is a wealth of information on the internet that is within your reach, contact various colleges and ask prior students what they felt, or what they learned while they were there.

This is not an easy choice; do not rush your choice.

Thanks Glitch!, I had researched a bit from the colleges in my country (sometimes they visited our "highschool" to talk about their objectives, etc) and listened some advises and suggestions that my parents gave me (since they are both engineers), in a little summary, at least in Chile the best way to enter to the Game Dev industry is to study Computer Engineering. because Graphic Design has a low drop out rate and especially in Game Dev, Chile is still a pioneer in that Industry, meanwhile Computer Engineering especially in a good College can be very versatile, there is a lot of courses oriented to Graphic Design and very interesting thing such a web design, etc.
Im not 100% sure but at least, i know where i can get a head start in my country.Again, thanks Dude :D
There is a VideoGame Design Career tho, but is too new to even know if is a good way to start Developing Games :/
