I know what your getting at. Yeah they would have to create seperate updates for osx and therefore using more of their bandwidth but not much, and frankly valve can afford it. But this is all depending on if the games are actually a full on port or just an emulation. But seeing how emulation of MS directx is illegal, I'm sure the "lag" will happen. But its nothing we should worry about.
Mac users deserve steam. Mac has NO games or software in comparison to windows, macs are overpriced, and don't upgrade well. Not to mention countless other flaws.
I really don't like how mac is virtualy identicle to linux (it actually is a unix os) . But its good for people who are beginners with computers. I have mac installed on my computer because I have to test cross platform code that I write. One thing that mac actually beats pc at is its web browsing capabilities. Mac is THE best machine for users who do nothing but browse the web. Windows ofcourse is still good for browsing :D.
**Random Ipad Rant**
DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE IPAD. It's a FRAUD... all apple did was spread the components of an Iphone out and put a larger screen on it. It runs the EXACT same OS as the Iphone. I've heard rumors that it actually costs Apple LESS to manufacture than the Iphone and yet they charge more for it.
