You know, I probably shouldn't complain because I don't really actively do anything with the group these days, and if it helps the overall group that's great.. But are we not overdoing it on the events a little bit? I feel like I am getting 2-3 event notes a day, and sometimes for the same events. It's less likely to make me want to participate and more likely to make me want to just leave the group. Which I really would prefer not to do :|

@Cornelius: The TGDCL doesn't generally mess around with mods, so it's unlikely you'll find someone to take you up on your offer. You're still welcome to try, though.

@Youngoli: Unfortunately, no. Having a pirated copy means you won't be able to access Game Spy's lobby servers, the system through which matches are organized. I'm sure the Gold version of Dawn of War is dirt cheap now, though... Give it a look!

@Zeeknot: I have already done so personally. There are a lot of cool things about that mod... Unfortunately, it is too broken in its current state to be used for any kind of fair competitive play.

I'd prefer something not *balanced* in accordance to 4th/5th edition, varying policies on Forgeworld units and TT mechanics that make little sense in an RTS

You should be able to beat Insane opponents easy. The computer uses the same tactics every time just about. and you can generally push after their first rush and turtle on a strategic point near their base and wipe the floor with them.

@Flavius_Aetius: No, our server isn't called that. Generally the room's name is "Fat Guys" and the password is "/tg/". Pretty simple, really. As for playing online, don't feel you need to brush up too much before you join us; we're all pretty bad anyway. Regardless, playing against the computer, no matter the difficulty, will never be comparable to a human opponent.
