Where the ♥♥♥♥ is pre release 4?
4 years and 4 months later...
Source: Nassimo's Profile.
They go in custom folder.
steam>steamapps>common>Team Fortress 2>tf>custom
now here you create a file and name it whatever you want, like "custom textures", then open the file that you downloaded and drag everything thats in it: materials, models, etc (READ ME files are not needed...)
now open your steam files again (but dont close the one where you just placed your files, keep that open) and follow these steps:
steam>steamapps>common>Team Fortress 2>bin
look for an app called vpk. now what you need to do is drag the "custom textures" file (or whatever you called it) into the vpk app
and thats it, this is also how you install most huds
hope it helped! ;)
ps: the files that appear should be called "custom textures.vpk" those are the ones that matter, you can delete all previous files (the original ones)
I hope to see more progress some time, such as "optional colouring and class emblems", stuff like that.
