I'm amazed, this mod still works, two years since the last announcement. It seems to work fine with all the new materials Valve puts in the game, its a small change but it makes the game so much better.

How to instal: First make a folder called custom and place it in the "tf" folder.Then, make another folder (name anything you want I made mine my_custom_stuff) then just extract the materials,models and the other contents inside. Ex. tf/custom/my_custom_stuff/all content inside(materials,models,etc.)

I have a feeling that they trashed this...others are working on single weaps, but this pack in general. Unless they are doing every every EVERY single TF2 texture up to date so far....but for now lets wait and be patient about this and hope what we think they're doing is doing the rest up to date!

So, this is still being Updated and Stuff? I mean is it fully compatible with the newest Version? If yes that is the best Mod/Skin/whatever i have Seen for tf2 so far :D

I wish i could use SFM models+T.I.P textures+No Necklace for scout(if i use the no necklace skin for scout...his foot will stay invisible!)..

@chair you download the file you want then you go into your steam files and follow these steps:
steam>steamapps>common>Team Fortress 2>tf>custom
now here you create a file and name it whatever you want, like "custom textures", then open the file that you downloaded and drag everything thats in it: materials, models, etc (READ ME files are not needed...)
now open your steam files again (but dont close the one where you just placed your files, keep that open) and follow these steps:
steam>steamapps>common>Team Fortress 2>bin
look for an app called vpk. now what you need to do is drag the "custom textures" file (or whatever you called it) into the vpk app
and thats it, this is also how you install most huds
hope it helped! ;)
ps: the files that appear should be called "custom textures.vpk" those are the ones that matter, you can delete all previous files (the original ones)

Never mind, got it working by turning it into a vpk. I reccomend you guys make it a vpk too since it's more efficient. Make a shortcut of vpk.exe from your common/team fortress 2/bin and then drag the folder containing all the mod files onto the vpk shortcut. It'll poop out a vpk in the same directory the shortcut is in. Spread the word!

I'm having trouble installing the texture pack. I've followed all the instructions I could find, and I made sure I wasn't on an sv_pure server, but the pack still won't activate. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?
