guys does anyone using steascree to upload screenshots? for some reason.. my wallpaper engine does not seem to load any more.. everything else works fine

It's working, Steam is having some problems, but I've managed to install most of it.

I took 276 photos with Nvidia.
To upload them, I took 276 photos with the steam interface, got their names and changed the names and extensions of the Nvidia photos.

With the new names and extensions, I had +500MB files and I couldn't upload any of them to steam, luckily I found this program and the quality reduction helped me a lot.

but I still can't upload my photos to steam, I'll try again in a few hours, maybe steam's menstrual cramps have started :D

this app saves me. my Steam overlay is giving me problems in games. so I had to disable it. I'm using xbox game bar to take HDR screenshots, and using SteaScree to move the screenshots to steam folder. I understand why you're not motivated to keep your work, Qt can be really... uh, you know... thanks for this app, dude

Hello! The app doesn't show actual list of installed games. After installation I chose the Steam folder but it shows only a couple of deleted games. None of actually installed right now. What am I doin wrong?

Hello, when mass uploading screenshots on Steam. They seem to upload backwards (most recent first). So when taking screenshots in chronological order the upload messes up my screenshot grid. Is there any way to make steam upload the oldest screenshot first like it was before the new Steam update? Thanks

So, I attempted my workaround with another batch of screenshots today. They were in order for the most part *except* for maybe 10% of the screenshots being out of order. I'm at a loss as I tried my method of screenshotting the original screenshots to make them completely new and properly ordered, and while they show up in userdata in the correct order, they aren't in order in the screenshot manager/uploader. Any ideas?

Totally my bad, since it's been a while I forgot I had to click "Prepare screenshots...", well at least I discovered this group now.

As Shade pointed out though, the shots aren't ordered by upload date anymore, but by date the shots were taken.
Might that be the same case with you? Sometimes have to scroll a while to find the just uploaded shot.

So is this not working with the new Steam Interface? It always worked before, I tried now and even after the process the screen won't appear on Steam

Nevermind, I figured it out! For anyone experiencing the same issue, the reason for screenshots being uploaded in the wrong order <for me> was that steascree seems to upload in the order by when the individual screenshots were taken. Because I took additional screenshots from a recording and tried to integrate them to fill in gaps in my sequence of screenshots, my screenshots were uploading in a fixed (albeit undesired) order, regardless of how I named them or arranged them in steascree.

As a workaround in my situation similar, I arranged the screenshots in the desired sequence in a separate folder. I then opened all of these screenshots and took screenshots of the screenshots (screenshotception?) and then did any necessary cropping of these "new" screenshots. I then disposed of the original folder of screenshots, and uploaded all the "new" screenshots in steamscree. Because the "new" screenshots were taken in the correct/desired order, they were uploaded in this corrected order.

When I add the screenshots to the game directory, the screenshots appear out of order in the steam uploader and the steam game folder. I didn't use to have this problem. Is there a solution?
I even tried adding the files in 1 at a time, but they are still out of order.

Ayy your first suggestion fixed the issue for me, thank you. Turns out steam was still running in the background and that was the problem lmao. In hindsight, probably wasn't the best idea for me to try to tackle the issue at 6am after pulling an all nighter. Can't believe I missed that smh. I appreciate your help!

Try uploading some random picture for that game's ID and see if it shows up. If it does, there might be some problem with the screenshots you're trying to upload, although I have no clue what the problem could be.
Pretty much all I can think of atm.

just to be clear, I mean only 1 screenshot that I actually used steam's overlay to take. The others (the one's I've been trying to upload) I did take from a game that I've been playing on this steam account, I just took them with the game's native photo mode and forgot to capture them using the overlay as well.

1000% sure :/ I just started this steam account recently so I only have like 1 screenshot from 1 game on there. I've tried restarting steam a bunch of times too to see if maybe that would help. Still nothing.

Are you sure the shots aren't there? I have a similar problem since Steam updated its UI and everything. The shots are there, but I need to scroll down a bit to find them, instead of the not-uploaded shots being on top as it used to be.
I also have shots "vanish" right when I found them, just for them to show up further down again.

I've tried going through the process of adding the photos manually to the game's screenshot and thumbnail folders and that doesn't work either. Same thing - nothing shows up in the manager. Like I said, the only thing that I've been able to do that resulted in the new photos showing up in steam's screenshot manager was manually replacing the name of the new photo with the name of a screenshot captured using steam's overlay. Not really sure what that means, or if it's relevant, as far as indicating what the problem might be.

Yes I make sure to turn steam off before that step. Sorry, there aren't really any more details to give lol. It just doesn't do anything. I press "prepare screenshots for uploading" and then it shows the pop up saying that the file was uploaded and that its safe to open steam. And when I open steam and check the screenshot manager, nada. The screenshots aren't there, there isn't an error message, nothing. But when I check the game's screenshot folder on my computer the screenshots are there, and they have the correct name, extension, etc. They just aren't making it to steam's screenshot manager.

Try being more specific. "Nothing is working" isn't much to go on.
You choose a game ID, add one or more screenshots to the queue, prepare screenshots for uploading and then...what? Steam is off when you click the "Prepare screenshots for uploading" button?

The only way at all I've been able to get outside photos to show up in the screenshot manager is to copy the photo into the game's screenshot folder and replace the name of the photo with the name of a screenshot that I took using the actual steam overlay. But I'd prefer not to do that cause the dates/times won't be right.

ugh someone plz HELP. I've tried uploading manually, I've tried uploading with steascree - nothing is working. I'm pretty sure I'm not skipping any steps or doing anything wrong. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this and how to fix it?

and when I download a smaller amount, for example only 10, then only 2 get into steam.

mistakenly deleted about 130 screenshots from Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam. but the images remained in the Steam folder on the PC. But the steam now does not see them at all, for him they are like third-party screenshots. When I try to download them through steascree, only 10 out of 130 are downloaded in steam, although I do everything according to the instructions.

Does anyone know why I wouldn't be able to prepare screenshots for uploading under the 760 id? No issue with any other id, just the steam screenshots one
